The 2 night spread allows for more matches too without exhausting the fans with the content or the need to rush through certain matches due to time constraints.

It's been confirmed the Andre the Giant and Women's Battle Royal matches will not happen due to the current climate, this is no loss as these matches are normally pre-show additions that exist only to get talent not involved in main matches a spot on the card.

I expect the final card to look something like:

Brock Lesnar vs Drew McIntyre

Goldberg vs Roman Reigns

Becky Lynch vs Shayna Baszler

Rhea Ripley vs Charlotte Flair

The Undertaker vs AJ Styles

Edge vs Randy Orton

Kevin Owens vs Seth Rollins

Sami Zayn vs Daniel Bryan vs Drew Gulak

Bayley vs Naomi vs Tamina vs Lacey Evans vs Dana Brooke vs Sasha Banks

The Miz and John Morrison vs New Day vs The Usos

Rey Mysterio vs Andrade

Otis vs Dolph Ziggler

Alexa Bliss and Nicky Cross vs The Kabuki Warriors

Elias vs Baron Corbin

This is 14 matches which allows for a 7 match card on each night which should provide ample time for each match and at least in the empty arena setting there won't have to be huge chunks of time allocated for celebrity cameos and music performances. Will be interesting to see what the wrestler entrances are like too as obviously Wrestlemania is normally host to some of the biggest and most colourful and over the top entrances ever seen but this is mostly for the live crowd experience so it makes you wonder if that will all be very toned down this year.

I hope they can salvage something decent. However I can easily see this turn into a clossal clusterfuck.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that beginning today, Saturday, March 21, and going through Thursday, March 26, all WWE programming for the next couple of weeks will be taped at WWE's Performance Center in Orlando, including the annual "Showcase of The Immortals".

Johnson lists the following as the taping schedule:

*Saturday, March 21: WWE SmackDown episodes for March 27 and April 3

*Sunday: March 22: Taping content for future episodes of NXT

*Monday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 24: Monday Night Raw episodes for March 23 and March 30

*Wednesday, March 25 and Thursday, March 26: Both nights of WrestleMania 36

WWE has also scheduled tapings at "closed sets" for WrestleMania 36, so there many be additional taping dates beyond what's taking place at the Performance Center over the coming week.

This marks the first time that a major WWE pay-per-view is taped in advance since 1992, when that year's SummerSlam took place at London's Wembley Stadium, and aired on tape delay two days later in the United States.

Pre-taping segments will allow WWE to use fewer people in a single location. Which will allow them to work within various restrictions on large gatherings.

I've seen other rumors that up to 16 matches might take place over the 2 night format. Which might seem like a lot. But I think many of these matches while be shorter than they would be had this happened with a full stadium.

Given that Vince is known to micro-manage things to crazy extends. He might overthink these pre-tapes and ruin them by trying to make them too slick and fancy.

There's also been reports that Vince just wants to get WrestleMania over with. As the company is looking at losing at least $20 million in revenue from the cancelled show.

Its a smart move to pre-tape, the downside of course will be spoilers will be leaked but people will be free to avoid these if they don't want to know results in advance, I know I don't as it takes away a lot of the enjoyment of watching.

Point is pre-taping allows WWE to have fewer people in one place keeping within the advised restrictions for gatherings, and also considering matches in the empty performance centre have not been well received so far it allows WWE to edit and maybe even do over if they are not satisfied with the end product. Who knows perhaps there are even plans to use something to mask the empty seats in the background or even pipe in some crowd noise?

If it was me I would maybe adjust the lighting and the camera angles so the focus is on the inside of the ring only and perhaps the empty seating is blacked out. They should also take a page out of AEW's book and place other wrestlers spaced out at ringside to compensate a little for the lack of crowd atmosphere.

Usually I would agree with the decision kinda like if you don't laugh you will cry motto.

But on this occasion when tens of thousands have spent lots of money to go and not likely to get it all back it looks like a bad business decision to joke at their customers expense.

Plus who would want to wear such a shit shirt anyway.

They have 2 designs for the "I wasn't there" shirts. I read that the last couple of years, WWE has made about a $1 million from just the "I was there" shirts that they sell exclusively at Mania weekend events.

Dana Brooke and Rey Mysterio have both been pulled from their matches because they are both sick and being quarantined. No word on whether or not it's the coronavirus they are sick with.

Angel Garza and Andrade vs The Street Profits and Bobby Lashley vs Aleister Black have been added to the card.

In honesty neither feels Wrestlemania worthy with zero build to either match but under these circumstances I think that can be forgiven.

With a proper storyline build Black vs Lashley is actually a bit of a dream match for me, two legit fighters in the ring who could really tear it down out there when allowed to. As it stands I think this is more to get Black on the card and we could end up with a quick throwaway match, I hope they get the chance to do something decent.

Now the rumor is that Roman Reigns is out due to worries of the virus and his leukemia weakening his immune system. No word yet on what will happen with Goldberg's title defense.

Quote Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned Roman Reigns will not be part of the WWE Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 36 as planned.

Sources with knowledge of the situation tell us Reigns expressed to WWE that he didn’t feel comfortable doing anymore of the Performance Center shows during the coronavirus pandemic because he’s immunocompromised from his battle with leukemia and didn’t want to risk his health.

We’re told WWE honored his request and he will now be replaced by someone else in the match against Goldberg, though it’s unclear who at this time.

WrestleVotes has hinted that Roman was replaced by Braun Strowman. But nobody else has confirmed that at this time.

Brie Bella has stated in an interview that Daniel Bryan is self-quarantining now that he has finished all his Mania tapings. Brie said he has an automune disease. He's staying in a hotel near his home to make sure he's clear before returning home to his pregnant wife.
