Quote According to a report at Barnburner.ca, WWE is considering the following locations as potential sites for WrestleMania 36, which takes place in 2020: Atlanta, Minneapolis and a city in Florida, likely either Jacksonville or Miami.

Atalanta as the place Kurt won gold in 1996 could be the place for him to retire from the ring for good.

Minneapolis is the one place Brock could be guaranteed a massive babyface pop so he can have a Wrestlemania match remembered for all the right reasons.

Miami is probably the favourite because The Rock would be more likely to keep his schedule clear for a possible match.

I'd say Miami would be the favourite yeah. I spoke to Brad about this but he couldn't give any more detail.

Quote Multiple sources are reporting that next year's WrestleMania will be returning to the Sunshine State, specifically at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. The expected date for the PPV is likely to be April 5, 2020.

-- While WWE has not officially made any statement on this topic, they usually reveal the WrestleMania location approximately a year in advance so expect that announcement shortly.

The original news that started this thread mentioned four places, two of which are in Florida and it was still wrong.

It's still Florida but Tampa isn't seen as a tourist place over here in the same way as Orlando is for Disney or Miami is for the adult party nightlife atmosphere.

Tampa is below them along with Jacksonville.

stadium has a capacity of 65,000 for NFL, so about the right sort of crowd attendance.

this is why Las Vegas needs to try and get a NFL to move there, imagine a whole week of Mania in the city, with the gambling to go along with it, you'll have thousands of people leaving without the shirt on their backs.

I hope they keep the reveal until during the Mania broadcast, it has more impact then for me.

I'm gutted. I'm in Florida this year April 1st-14th and now I find out that Wrestlemania will likely be in Florida in a years time.

I did try and persuade the missus to let me jet off to New Jersey from Florida for a day so I could attend Mania this year but sadly its a bit of a trek, a 3 hour flight so it would be fairly costly and time consuming as I'd have to stay in Jersey after Mania and fly back the next day, I guess I could grab a late flight and do it all in a 24 hour window but it would be a bit crazy and exhausting.
I'd be willing to do it but she played the whole its a family holiday and would be deserting them card and especially as the Mother in Law is covering a large chunk of the cost of this holiday it would be a bit naughty to take off for a day.

Any advice from you yank members on here on a good place in Florida to watch it on a big screen would be appreciated, don't know if US bars do stuff like that in Florida?

wouldn't say its that expensive, can be as little as $87, which right now is about £66, but if you're in Florida for a holiday, i'm assuming Disney is going to be a destination at some point.

Its a tricky situation. We are staying in Orlando and plan to spend most of the two weeks at Disney. The Mother in Law booked this holiday as its her dream to do a family Disney holiday one more time while shes still able(she took her kids several times when they were young last time being about 20 years ago) and sadly as shes now 74 and not in the best of shape time is running out.

This is my first trip to the USA and in honesty while Im glad Im getting the chance to do the whole Disney experience I'm not sure its really my bag and 2 weeks solid of it will be a lot, my daughter will love it though so I'll endure for her sake.

Just frustrating that I'm in the same country at the time of Wrestlemania and cant really do it, I reckon if I flew economy and found some cheap digs to stay in or just did a quick turn around and flew back the same day could maybe do it all in for less than $200?

i'd say $200 would be a struggle, as even roach motels near the site will be either already booked, or hiked in prices. your best bet for anything like that is if you drive, to maybe find a hotel further into New Jersey State, and hire a car from the airport until you fly back to Orlando.

it's then if you can get tickets to the show for face value or not much more. unless you're just going to be happy to go to the peripheral events, or hope to get to see NXT Take Over.

I mean, you could always just look into it now, as there's nothing wrong with that, and if you find it's actually doable, then more power to you.

So would the 24 hour turnaround be possible do you think? If I flew out to Jersey early that day, attended Mania then jumped straight on a late flight back to Florida? I mean it sounds nuts but that would be the most cost effective way and probably the only way I could sell it to the family that I would be there and back inside 24 hours. If it starts eating heavily into our holiday budget then I have no chance as Florida is going to cost a fortune as it is.

i'd say it would be possible. after all, it's domestic flights, so should be less hassle with price and seats, plenty more options hopefully from Orland to surrounding airports.

it's whether you feel you could do with an extra 12 hours to get some sleep, especially if you do get to Mania and decide to be there for the event and the preshow, can imagine 6-7 hours, especially if being there in person makes the matches come alive more, could be quite exhausting.

again, looking into it isn't going to cost you anything, and if you find it's doable, as in both travel and cost, then you've got nothing to lose and a lot to gain.

already got a mate who is going to this years', which I only found out about last week. git went to New Orleans too. I now hate him.
