Quote According to several reports this weekend, the WWE WrestleMania 35 location is set and is basically a “done deal”. According to DeArron Easley and “TicketDrew” (they have both broken WWE stories in the past), Detroit, MI will be the location for WrestleMania 35 in 2019. Other cities that were said to be in the running were New York City and Philadelphia, PA.

It should be noted that this is not confirmed by any means just yet.

WWE WrestleMania 34 takes place in New Orleans on April 8th, 2018.

Mania 35 location is basically a done deal. I have location

That would be some coup for them in a city that's got higher unemployment and higher crime rate than the national average.

Can't say I would fancy visiting there, even if I could go find Les Gold from Hardcore Pawn in his shop LOL

Think we can assume it would take place at the Detroit Lions stadium and that's hardly one of the best 32 in NFL.

Detroit? Seriously? They do know they'll have to double the costs of their tickets just to afford the security required to keep every single persons car from ending up on cinder blocks, don't they? Just go an hour east and north to Toronto instead.

Detroit??? What's next? Venezuela? Pakistan? Where ever the hell LennyComa keeps disappearing to for months at a time?

Do something cool like hold it at the Tokyo Dome or Wembley Stadium instead, even Mexico City would be pretty neat. Detroit... Bah!

I know that Detroit has it's problems; but I think it's a matter of keeping with tradition of the WWF/E already having two previous WrestleManias in the Detroit area, including WrestleMania III in the nearby (and just demolished) Pontiac Silverdome.

I wonder if Aretha Franklin will sing, as she did the previous two times.

But yes, I agree a WrestleMania (or any pay per view) in Tokyo would be awesome.

Well that confirms I won’t be attending Wrestlemania in 2019.

Quote  It looks like WWE will be officially announcing WrestleMania 35 on Friday.

The NFL's New York Giants announced today that a "major event" will be coming to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey soon. They have a press conference to reveal that event scheduled for Friday.

MetLife Stadium has been expected for the WrestleMania 35 location for a while now. Barstool Sports reported earlier this year that WWE decided on going with the New York - New Jersey area again after heavily considering Philadelphia and Detroit. The rumored date is Sunday, April 7th, 2019.

Barstool also noted that WWE will likely run the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the Hall of Fame, WWE NXT Takeover, RAW and SmackDown that weekend. WWE's announcement on Friday will likely include confirmation on other plans for WrestleMania 35 Week.

WWE last ran MetLife Stadium for the biggest show of the year in 2013 with WrestleMania 29, also held on April 7th that year.

I've seen this rumoured for a while

It's a very nice stadium and has a capacity of over 85000 so would really make the perfect venue

Was the perfect venue for Wrestlemania 29 where Cena beat Rock and Taker beat CM Punk

At least it's not Detroit but the same venue for a second time in seven years is drab.

They only just cracked 80000 last time with Taker/Punk, Rock/Cena and Hs/Brock, so they have a job on to try and beat that crowd and give a card as strong as that.

E don't like travelling too far from their Stamford base.

This time they'll be headlining with Charlotte vs Rousey. Rousey, for now, is definitely as over as any man WWE has had aside from the truly great ones but at least as much as the lower tier top guys like HBK, HHH, & Flair.

As long as they can keep the girls popularity up it shouldn't be a bad thing, but it'll be something of a challenge too. Then again, the men aren't nearly as popular as they have been in years past, and haven't been in almost 15 years, so maybe this is a good way to renew mainstream popularity in the WWE.

I'm hearing Rousey vs Charlotte and I'm also hearing Taker vs Cena for the UV title. Not sure how that will work depending on Undertaker's schedule though.

Rousey vs Charlotte makes the most sense if you ask me. Charlotte vs Asuka would have been main event material but the thought of Rousey vs Charlotte with a year to build them both up as absolute unstoppable forces? Could be a huge match.

It does make me feel real sorry for Nia Jax though. What a waste her title run is going to be.

While I wish this were closer to me, NY makes sense for a landmark number mania (one that ends in 0 or 5).

I'm really hoping for Charlotte vs Rousey in the main event, would be  abig statement and achievement.  Also like the idea of Taker and Cena for the Universal Title.  Originally I liked the idea of Cena vs Orton, but I hope they save that for when Randy hangs it up in another year or so.  Also, they would be foolish. NOT to have Styles and Balor collide.  And I also think a triple threat match involving The Shield.
