I think the PPV was summed up best by my mate Bryan on Facebook (tried getting him here but he isn't one for talking about wrestling just the watching) "I should have slept instead"
Y'know what?....It's really fucking hot here in Africa. Who knew?....Well me, I have been doing this for almost 5 years

This review actually really quite well sums up my views on the show, and does it more entertainingly than I could have. Aside from some of the star ratings, I don't think I have much of anything to argue about here.

Watched it with the nipper, Asuka/Flair match was the cause of many tears.

Triple threat was MOTN, disappointed in Balor's entrance though.

Thought Rousey was quite sloppy, understandable given her relative lack of experience.

Actually quite enjoyed D-Bry's appearance, hope I don't get burnt out on him before he gets AJ.

What I liked -

The Miz vs Balor vs Rollins - excellent fast paced match that never slowed and kept the crowd hooked, well positioned as the card opener.

Asuka vs Charlotte - very good match and if anyone had to end Asuka's streak I'm glad it was Charlotte on such a big stage.

Rousey/Angle vs Triple H/Stephanie - Excellent, clear match of the night. Storytelling superb and Rousey impressed in her big debut, very convincing and well worked offence, she looked a bad-ass helped a lot by Trips and Steph selling for her. This was far far better than I expected, top marks to all involved.

Lesnar vs Reigns - Most have crapped all over this match and yes it was overbooked, Reigns kicking out of a thousand F5's and Lesnar out of a million spears was unnecessary, takes me back to the silly booking of Hulk Hogan where he would 'Hulk up' out of every finishing move. But on the whole I enjoyed the match, it was hard hitting and gripping and the result presents far more interesting scenarios than the result we were all expecting.

Daniel Bryan/Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn - Decent match that achieved its objective, a strong showing from Bryan in his triumphant return to the ring and a end to this long running feud.

What I didn't like.....

John Cena vs The Undertaker - The build up was lame, a senseless burial of Elias, the disappointment of not seeing the American Bad Ass character return or Kid Rock performing the theme music, no promo from The Undertaker or any kind of explanation as why he just suddenly showed up, then a quick nothing match that was a complete squash of Cena who in turn had just squashed Elias so in effect Elias looks like a jobber and Cena gets fed to a veteran we thought had retired. I get that Taker probably cannot work longer matches any more and this booking protected him but come on surely a fifteen minute more even sided match wouldn't have been too much to ask?

The Bludgeon Brothers vs The Usos vs The New Day - Rushed and forgettable. I'm thinking time constraints played a part here and I would have preferred to see this go on the pre-show. This had the makings of a great match but what we got was a dud.

AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura - The match wasn't bad but like most of Nakamura's matches it never left first gear, there were no fast paced near falls or big spots keeping us on the edge of our seats, it was just a solid technical wrestling match, its been suggested they held back to not steal thunder from Reigns and Lesnar but I don't know I just think Nakamura is struggling with the WWE style or just cant be bothered and is going through the motions for a pay day. Either way this wasn't the classic it was billed as, the highlight was the heel turn at the end.

Braun Strowman and Nicholas vs The Bar - I get that giving back to the fans by handing a unforgettable moment to a young fan is all well and good but the result was a burial of the Bar, a naff short match and a wasted opportunity that could have gone to someone like Samoa Joe or Elias. I just think silliness like this emphasises how wrestling is all scripted and not real.

Far too long. I would have put the Smackdown tag title match and the US title match on the pre-show, scrapped Elias' appearance and instead had him team with Braun, given some of the saved time to the match between The Undertaker and John Cena to lengthen it to fifteen minutes at least and could have at least shaved a hour off the whole event. Nia vs Bliss only needed to be a quick squash, put Jax over strong by having her destroy Bliss in a couple of minutes saving more time.

New here via referral, looking forward to discussing wrestling without getting told it's stupid.  If this isn't allowed I apologize, just looking to build a bit of a following.  This is our reaction and review of the Wrestlemania 34 Main card.  Overall, we really really enjoyed the show.  I'm seeing a ton of backlash towards it and I was surprised by that initially, however this is still the internet and many fans aren't going to be happy regardless.

Quote Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the second quarter earning reports that WWE recently released showed that the paid attendance for WrestleMania 34 was approximately 59,900. If you recall, WWE announced 78,133 fans the day of. Something to keep in mind is the WWE will usually exaggerate 10,000 to 13,000 for WrestleMania.

WrestleMania 34 took place on April 8th at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

For a stacked card in a stadium, I think management will be a big annoyed they couldn't crack 60,000 paid fans.

I would prefer E to give the paid attendance in the stadium, but they will never do that, as they rely on freebies for competition winners to bump the gate.

It was a card of star power and they still faked those paying to watch by nearly 20k.
