The match mentioned is too obvious Kurt will win so he can have his big babyface return.
I hope that management change their mind. They could at least have a 5 on 5 female match.

They should have been trying for the horsewomen vs horsewomen match, but I guess depending on the contract status of all the participants, they could be waiting another year so they're all on the main roster. There's actually a few good survivor series matches they can be building towards this year though. Shield really ought to be in a survivor series match against someone really notable like Bullet Club, or Wyatt Family, or whoever and not so and so with so and so & so and so as is the case with Strowman, Ziggler & McIntyre. This would be a good year to use Survivor Series in it's traditional role, to use cluster fuck matches that make some kind of storyline sense to act as a kickstarter for new singles feuds among team-mates and opponents that previously were only ancillary connected.

Well seems the reports of moving away from the Raw vs Smackdown theme were false and they will be moving forward with the brand vs brand matches for the second year running. I’m glad because this one off theme creates a very special feel for the event and last year produced some excellent never before seen matches, in fact I would say Survivor Series 2017 was the PPV of the year.
The 2018 show has got off to a good start with what is a women’s dream match for me in Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch, this match has the potential to be great and I think Becky can carry Ronda to her best match to date. The WWE champ vs Universal champ scenario is interesting, as things stand it will be AJ Styles or Daniel Bryan vs Braun Strowman or Brock Lesnar. Unless WWE throw a real curveball at Crown Jewel then I think Strowman is walking out as champion as Lesnar is expected to be done with WWE for a while after the show, shame though as I would love to see Brock vs AJ II or Brock vs Bryan for the first time. Rollins vs Nakamura should be a very good match, the tag title situation on Raw wasn’t addressed this week so no idea who the champions will be to face New Day. |

TBH I wouldn't put it past Rousey to carry Becky to HER best match to date. Rousey is definitely living up to all her comparisons to Kurt Angle, she has a unique moveset, is a natural for storytelling in the ring, has fantastic psychology, and while maybe she isn't at a veteran's status yet for how varied she can work, she does a good job selling what she does know, and she's definitely picking things up very fast. The differences in their two styles ought to make a fantastic matchup. AJ Styles or Daniel Bryan vs Strowman or Lesnar could be great too, as long as it's not Styles vs Lesnar 2. Bryan vs Lesnar would be cool, Bryan or Styles vs Strowman would be very cool too.

I first heard in June that we'd get Rousey vs Becky or Asuka. I'm very happy with the choice they made. I suspect the match will be incredibly even and very entertaining and that both women will spend a long time held in the submission holds of the other.

The thing about this Rousey vs Becky matchup is that it is the first time two of the different horsewomen will face off against each other, and I think we all know the main event her is Rousey vs Charlotte. If we were to flip the tables here this match would be Charlotte vs Baszler, which is a great match no doubt but in both cases the favorite is the figurehead, not the Arn Anderson.
To that end I hope they do some creative storytelling so that it isn't so predictable. |

Great looking card so far: Styles vs Lesnar for the second year running and Rollins vs Nakamura and of course Becky vs Rousey and that's just the champ vs champ matches. WWE have been smart to book this brand vs brand formula as the theme of this event now, it really works as a one off scenario and provides some great matches, its turned what was a very tired and stale event which was on the verge of being pulled from the WWE PPV calendar to a must see show.

I like some of the matches for fresh looking bouts, but don't like brand supremacy being built up when they no longer have exclusive PPVs and share a commentator, amongst others.
That tag team match is going to be a real clusterfuck with twenty guys involved.

The Usos & New Day were confirmed to be on Smackdown's tag team survivor series team. Actually this looks like it could be the best Raw vs Smackdown yet. Even AJ Styles getting the win over Brock Lesnar is semi-appealing, but going down the rest of the list, you've got the next least interesting match being the tag team survivor series match, then the Tag Team Champions match and then Seth Rollins vs Nakamura. The Tag Team Champions match should be really good, but that ends up being a really big jump from the tag team champions match to Rollins vs Nakamura. Both the Men and Women's survivor series matches will end up being good as they're a great way to start up new feuds and still provide a fun match. If Rousey vs Lynch closes the show, and honestly? At this point it really should, it's going to be awesome. Rousey & Lynch have put so much more effort into making their champion vs champion match the one everyone is looking forward to. Lesnar never hypes a damned thing, and for as good as Heyman is, there's no back and forth between him and Styles, and for his part, Styles is just cutting a pre-recorded promo backstage to get aired. Meanwhile Rousey & Lynch are taking their back and forth to social media, they're cutting live promos in the ring, and hopefully they meet face to face next week during the go-home shows. Best of all their promos are both the best 2 promos of the week as well. Honestly, the last few years, while the men have remained stagnant and boring with champions like Lesnar & Reigns, the women's division has still been building to even greater heights. So much so in fact that it's almost the only reason I tune in to Raw & Smackdown anymore. So I hope Rousey & Lynch do close the very first Big 4 PPV with a women's main event.

The rumoured Raw names for the tag match is showing up a distinct lack of depth in the division.
Smackdown teams looks slightly better where I expect Sanity to be involved after their first Smackdown appearance this week in far too long.
