First time I've watched both Raw and Smackdown in full in I can't remember how long.

So Smackdown didn't have any noticeable efforts to shake things up like Raw did but I still found it a pretty entertaining episode, it's just obviously if you're a fan expecting lots of Bischoff inspired change on this show you will be disappointed.

They seem to be teasing a Kevin Owens face turn and the end of the show may have confirmed him as a babyface, I thought they may do this as it was clear prior to Wrestlemania a face run was planned for Owens but Kofi's popularity sky rocketing meant plans had to be changed. I'm fine with this but they need to book Owens as a bad ass with a few comedic elements pretty much how he was booked this week, not the goofy idiot he was when he first returned this year.

In any rate all the stuff involving Owens was the highlight of the show this week, he had interactions with Shane, McIntyre and Ziggler which would lead to him teaming with Dolph against Heavy Machinery in the main event which then set the face turn in motion.

Everything else was pretty much the standard build to the Extreme Rules matches, we saw a confrontation between Kofi and Samoa Joe, some brawling between New Day and Bryan/Rowan and a match between Nikki Cross and Bayley. Also Apollo vs Andrade.

Mustafa Ali on Smackdown segments are intriguing and doing very well at allowing him to show more personality.

Daniel Bryan & Rowan Partnership On Smackdown has little interest even though they are the champions.

Little changes for the better have been happening since Bischoff was announced, but it's still a work in progress show.

I agree the Ali vignettes are doing a good job of building him as a character.

I don't care about the Bryan/Rowan team, I liked the heel Bryan character as a solo act with Rowan as his muscle, the two of them teaming feels like a huge demotion for DB even with the tag-titles. Heavy Machinery are a fun team though kind of like a modern day Natural Disasters. I would put the belts on HM and then have them feud with the Authors of Pain.

The Owens babyface turn storyline was well executed and the best part of the show, how Ziggler is fitting into this setting a possible turn for him too is intriging.

Roman Reigns in both the Raw and Smackdown main events was overkill. Roman seems a bit subdued a bit more low key since his return. Bischoff has publicly said he would like to turn Reigns heel so will be interesting to see if that happens.

I'm not into it... I sat through both this weeks and last weeks episodes of smackdown today, but really wasn't very interested.

Owens was a bright spot as was Otis of Heavy Machinery. IMO Otis is the most entertaining NXT call-up in ages. Black and Ricochet and all the others have been kinda meh, but Otis gives us that flavor of crazy awesome that's been missing since the days of Scott Steiner.

Big E is also a good one... as for the rest, I really just don't care.
