Decent this week, outshone Raw by a long way.

Sad for Naiomi to have to vacate the belt but happy to see it back with Bliss who has been a real rising star on Smackdown.

Usos cut the best promo of their careers to date, covered this in another thread.

Nattie vs Nikki was pretty decent, it planted the seeds for the rumoured mixed tag of Cena/Nikki vs Maryse/Miz at Wrestlemania, further developments happened in the battle royal which more or less confirmed this match is happening.

Battle Royal was good, not sure if the finish was planned or botched but either way Harper vs Styles should be good and Harper at this point is really over strong, just wish they'd revamp his look a bit to try and distance him a bit from being a Wyatt Family lacky.

Agree with everything Fletch says there, expect the bit about Harper. I think he's fine as he is. I would like to see them slightly tweak his moveset and give him a more devastating finisher.

I am interested to see how next week plays out around that dynamic too.

And by outshone, you mean it was the fire from a match compared to the smoldering embers of a dead fire that was Raw?

Smackdown was terrible, it only beats Raw by default.

Smackdown is a easier show to digest as well as it's only two hours, it's easier to have more good than bad with less time to fill. I've said this before but the best thing for Raw would be to revert to a two hour format that way they wouldn't need to pad out the show with piss break stuff or make certain segments overly long.

I actually enjoyed all of Smackdown this week, the only thing that didn't really interest me was American Alpha vs Breezango but fortunately that was saved by the Usos promo. Where as Raw on the other hand I could have skipped everything except the Owens promo and Big Show vs Strowman, even the Lesnar pre-tape which is normally something I like was a let down.

Should be in for a decent show tonight. We got AJ vs Harper over the #1 contendership to Bray Wyatt, we have a chairs match between Dolph & Apollo, and a 2 out of 3 falls match between Becky & Mickie. If this show doesn't at least get an 7 out of 10 type of performance there's something wrong hah.

Didn't really have much hope for this to be a good episode, but it did in fact turn out to be pretty decent like you said, Baz.

Miz & Cena have some good chemistry. IMO Miz might just be Cena's best opponent, at least when it comes to promos. Miz is certainly at his best with Cena (and D-Bry).

I'm a bit surprised the 2 out of 3 falls match between Mickie James and Becky Lynch went down the way it did. Is that already the end of that feud? They had a pretty good match, nothing spectacular, but it was still good. I kind of expected more of that feud though.

Very surprised at seeing AJ Styles win the #1 contenders match. I think most people expected Harper to win and make the wrestlemania match Harper vs Wyatt vs Orton.

And speaking of Orton, it's about time he outed himself as a fraudulent Wyatt Family member. With him returning to being just the run-of-the-mill Randy Orton, and with the addition of AJ Styles to that match, Orton vs Styles vs Wyatt is quite strange, and luckily not in a bad way. They still have plenty of time to build up this triple threat and it might be quite a marquee match by the time WrestleMania weekend rolls around.

Why is it being made out that DB and Shane are thick as to what to do about the title match at Wrestlemania?

Randy gave up his shot, Styles won it fairly so it should be Bray vs AJ Styles one on one.

The one shit part of Smackdown is how those supposedly in charge are booked as thick and weak.

We saw some storyline development between Shane McMahon and AJ Styles, and the buzz has always been about AJ vs Shane at Mania, so the inclusion of AJ in the main event against Wyatt seems odd. Perhaps that booking is a red herring, and will be changed later on?

I'd like to think they'd stay away from AJ vs Shane and give AJ the WM shot he deserves, and we get the triple threat match, however this is WWE so it won't go down that way.

I agree that AJ deserves the main event spot at Mania, but all the talk was that Shane and AJ were going to be working a program at Mania, so that's why my speculation.
