I watched this week but it didn't impress me enough to think it was anything more than mediocre.
I'm already more impressed with AEW.

I haven't seen raw yet but I've read a report on lordsofpain who are generally unbiased but even they ended it with thankfully raw went off the air so I'm not sure if it's worth a watch or not.
What I did notice was the lack of Seth Rollins, I'm assuming hes being protected after the HIAC debacle

I thought it was a really good episode.
It opens with Lashley and Lana on the big screen in Rusevs bed together, this was very soap opera type stuff but that is all part of WWE and always has been and this had a bit of a Attitude Era feel to it, Rusev got to look strong taking out Orton and Corbin and everybody played their parts well including Lashley who showed some acting chops here, I enjoyed this segment. A good last woman standing match between Nattie and Lacey followed by a equally good tag match between Roode/Ziggler and the Viking Warriors. Becky and Charlotte on Miz TV was entertaining stuff followed by them teaming up against the Kabucki Warriors who are now definitely heels. A short but very athletic match between Ricochet and Apollo Crewes which made me think these two would make a really good tag team. The episode closed out with a excellent in ring angle which seems to be building to a match between Tyson Fury and Braun Strowman, was good stuff, a typical pull apart brawl but well executed and obviously the physicality has to be limited when non wrestling celebrities are involved. No Seth Rollins or Bray Wyatt which was a good call to let the negative feedback to their match ending fade away a little, plus it made sense for Seth to be off tv selling his injuries. |

Awful show that was so bad that even watching You Tube highlight videos on their channel would be a waste of your time.
We saw Charlotte vs Becky for the 1,385th time boooooring. We got Buddy Murphy against Ali which was like watching 205 Live. We had stupid Lana/Lashley crap. We got a title change out of the blue that didn't make sense. Babyface flagship brand champion was made in to an arsonist criminal which got heavy boos from the live crowd. Don't watch Raw this week. Do something more worthwhile and less boring with your time like learning algebra or something.

I thought it was a good show, not as good as Smackdown but still pretty watchable.
The draft continued which I enjoyed, they continued with the same more realistic sports draft formula that they used on Smackdown so that was fine with me. Becky vs Charlotte was a last minute replacement for Becky/Sasha and it was a decent match. The Viking Raiders defeating Roode/Ziggler for the belts was another good match. Must admit the Lana/Lashley segment was cringey. The Firefly Funhouse segment almost saw a double-turn of sorts, the fans booed Seth for attacking Bray and lighting the funhouse on fire, remains to be seen if that was the plan. Either way this was a refreshing take on Bray's segments having someone else turn up and interfere. |

Not watched yet and trying to avoid spoilers but apparently Adam Cole vs Seth Rollins is the main event so definitely worth tuning in this week.

Raw is definitely the far better show out of the non NXT brands, but I would say this week was a little hit and miss.
I enjoyed the developments with Seth and Owens and AOP, not sure why Sami Zayn and Mojo Rawley had to get involved didn't really make any sense but I guess it got Mojo some tv time if nothing else, perhaps it will lead to a mini-feud between Owens and Mojo as a sidebar from the main feud between Owens and Rollins. Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy got decent tv time, McIntyre went over Matt Hardy pretty strong, they need to give Drew some more high profile wins though, his booking is still far too 50/50. The Viking Raiders went over the Street Profits which was a good match but suggests to me that SP are set for more of a comedy spot on Raw rather than being seen as a serious tag team. More silliness with Erick Rowan and whatever he has in that cage. Becky and Charlotte forming a loose alliance to go up against the Kabuki Warriors, should be a good match but I hate Charlotte as a face. Good main event between AJ and Mysterio, this also furthered the feud with AJ and Randy Orton, I'm liking the dark tweenerish Orton this seems to be the best version of his character now. Very watchable Raw episode but the lack to build to TLC was appalling, its like they just don't care about the event and think it doesn't deserve any build up. Samoa Joe On Raw is going really well on commentary. If he ends up wrestling less or not at all, he could easily be behind that desk for a couple of decades earning decent cash.
Authors of Pain on Raw we have to forget had Drake Maverick dropped as manager without explaination. I think it adds to their persona talking in their own language. Matt Hardy On Raw has had some of the biggest pops on the show in his two appearances since he's returned. I don't get why they dropped his gimmick to make him back to Bland Hardy.
