Here's what I don't understand about last night's RAW. Off the heels of the controversial "you're stealing Punk's move" in regards to Itami. You have an AMAZING opportunity to let him cut his first promo on the main roster telling everyone they don't know history because "it's my move." "All you want to do is chant for someone who isn't coming back..." OH, and by the way, IT'S IN CHICAGO!

This would have been perfect for Hideo's introduction to the main roster and you get him over either with cheers(by people who know the history) or heat(from everyone else, including the Chicagoans). Either way, you have people who care and are invested in a character.

I’m pretty sure the majority of the fans don’t know the origin, true, but the thing is, WWE is trying to avoid brooks (cm punk) on purpose in an attempt to get the fans to get over him. Bringing Itami has nothing to do with punk because Itami is a long time wrestler, even before the GTS was popularized.

Also happening:

Enzo Amore may not be competing tonight because he's right now in a hospital posting Instagram updates.

Alexa Bliss will be taking on Asuka in what I can only imagine will be a match stopped by Absolution.

While Enzo being sick does suck I am glad that we won't have to suffer another week of the storyline between him and Nia Jax, I feel like Nia is being punished for her tweet about someone body shaming her at work because this is not the way she should be used hell no one should be put in a storyline with Enzo Amore, he may have the gift for gab but he definitely can't wrestle worth a dime, hell the Great Khali has more wrestling ability then he does.

Calling for a count out win for Samoa Joe between him and Roman Reigns or even a double countout to protect both guys

I think the big question on everyone's minds is will Curt Hawkins losing streak come to an end

find out the answer on Monday Night Raw

1st Raw of 2018 let's see how it goes down.

Angle announces the Womens Rumble will mirror the Mens...ok so that's going to be lots of surprises on the night then.

JJ vs Cesaro was an ok match, probably dragged on a little too long though.

Bray vs Apollo was decent enough. Was a lot closer than I expected and Dana falling into Titus at the end was a bit comical.

Alexa vs Asuka was good. It's a shame they gave this away in a tv match rather than a PPV effort.

Braun vs Rhyno/Slater....not sure if this was a handicap match officially or not haha...Braun telling Heath to shut up or get in the ring and have these hands was brilliant.

Balor reunited with Anderson & Gallows?? Surely they aren't going to finally launch a full Balor Club this year are they?

Reings vs Joe was superb. An excellent showing to start off the year for both men.

Cedric/Goldie vs Daivari/Gulak was a bit of light entertainment...Goldie doing a top rope crossbody though haha.

Balor/Anderson/Gallows vs Elias/Miztourage....just a glorified squash.

Normal Heyman promo to finish the show...not sure about having Lesnar 30 on 1 though Paul E haha.

Decent episode to kick off the new year.

So have the club gone face ?

I would have preferred to see a full out brawl between Kane and Brock Lesnar instead of a chokeslam and a hit to the head with the title before the jobber roster and Finn Balor tried to separate them and why wasn't Braun involved this was a chance for him to show proper dominance instead he's just beating the crap out of Slater and Rhyno

Alexa vs Asuka was good but I have a feeling that was just a taste of what we will see at wrestlemania when these two meet for the title ( I'm calling for Asuka to win the women's rumble).

30 women in the rumble is fine but we are going to have a fair few suprises, besides Charlotte and Alexa who are the champions we have 8 women on raw and 9 women on smackdown for the match which means we will have a total of 13 suprises for the rumble and this will be the longest match that a lot of these women have had in a WWE ring

Jason Jordan vs Cesaro was good but that's to be expected when you have 2 of the best workers in a match together and I must say I think Jason Jordans has great strength especially when he goes with that double northen lights suplex, I definitely see trouble brewing between Jordan and Seth Rollins because of all this ego talk.

Another great match between Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe but I was surprised that we got a pinfall ending I was thinking a count out would be the case and we would get a falls count anywhere match next week for the IC title

Am I only the only one tired of the Woken Matt vs Bray Wyatt, I don't know what it is but I just can't handle Bray anymore he's just the same every time, even his matches are pretty average personally I think he can do better.

The Hardy/Wyatt thing is ok...but i'm with you on Wyatt...he needs to lose this feud then reboot as he's been stuck in a rut for too long now..and it all stemmed from them screwing up his WWE Title run.

Quote WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is out to the ring next with Paul Heyman beside him. We see a replay of Kane propositioning Strowman earlier in the night to take out Lesnar, and Strowman seeming to decline. Heyman gets on the mic and complains about Lesnar having to face two opponents again, this time at the Royal Rumble against Kane and Strowman. Heyman takes issue with the fact that either Kane and Strowman could pin one another and Lesnar would lose the Title. Heyman says Lesnar will still win, and he fears no challengers. they go to leave, but Kane comes out to interrupt and he hits the ring. Kane grabs Lesnar by the throat and chokeslams him. Kane goes to leave, but then Lesnar sits right up and smiles at Kane. Lesnar gets up and uses the Title belt to hite Kane to the outside. Lesnar falls out to ringside too, and before they can start brawling, members of the locker room break it up. We're told Kurt Angle is on the stage ordering the fight to be broken up. They haul off Kane, while Lesnar holds up his Universal Title belt at ringside, and RAW goes off the air.

E logic of the whole night........

Heath Slater and Rhyno get battered time and time again post match by Braun Strowman with Kurt Angle not doing anything as General Manager to stop it. He doesn't come out to stop it, doesn't bring out the locker room, doesn't bring out extra security and doesn't even bring out extra refs to help the match ref out.

The show ends with two healthy guys settling it in the ring like Kurt always mentions they do on Raw and he orders out the locker room to break it up.

I think the supposed logic behind it is keeping top stars apart to avoid them injuring each other and to not give away a marquee match for free when it’s booked for a PPV.

Was plenty good about Raw this week, Reigns vs Joe was good although I’m surprised Roman finally got his win over Joe on TV, would have been better to save it for PPV, I was sure this match would end it a count out with the two men then settling the score maybe at the Royal Rumble in a street-fight.

Cesaro vs Jordan was solid although I expected better. Jordan is still as obnoxious as ever so still expect a heel turn soon.

Agree about Wyatt, he needs a new direction he’s stale and lost in the shuffle. Woken Matt is ok but isn’t making the waves it did in TNA.

Seeing the Club together was very cool and hope it’s a regular thing.

Strowman continues to dominate, he needs a strong showing at the Rumble.

Usual stich with Heyman and Brock although the way Lesnar popped up Kane style and then smirked after taking a chokeslam was great.
