Sorry for the absence!

1) I can only hope, but as it stands it seems like a one and done. But one can only hope: they ARE in New Orleans next year for a big show

2) Miz was awesome (pun intended AND unintended). He can work.

3) They were like "Can you even ride this thing?" and I said "Yep!" (What am I gonna do say no?) I think it was Road Dogg that even said "It would probably even be funny if you busted your ass." So I did the rehearsal and intentionally bumped off it at the bottom, got a good laugh. But they told me to just try as best as I could to stay on, and the weight was all on the back end and I still kind of fell off anyway.

I skipped quite a lot of Raw this week, but it was worth watching for Roman Reigns' promo where he brilliantly trolled the haters again, his match with Samoa Joe was decent too.

I liked the Joe/Lesnar video package, as I've said before this kind of stuff adds to the big fight feel. Sometimes it's actually better to keep the guys apart to build the anticipation.

The Big Cass heel turn was expected to be honest, pretty good heel promo from Cass that made sense as Enzo is the weak link of the team and it's clear he has the bigger upside of the pairing. Only thing I'd say is the team possibly had a bit more mileage but I think with them mostly being used for comic relief for so long rather than being booked as a credible threat in the tag ranks it would be hard to see them as anything more than that. Cass can now go on to being a player in WWE with Enzo probably finding his comfort zone as a comedy jobber.

The split should not have happened. They were perfect compliments for each other, Enzo had basically ALL the skills, both ring and mic, but he's small, and booked to look weak, and everybody bought into it, while Cass was tall, and looked at as a main event player... because he's tall. Their best quality is that they had tremendous chemistry together, splitting them up was stupid beyond belief.

I'm glad I didn't watch.

So I forced myself to sit through a fully episode. Actually, despite the fact that I was on my phone most of the time, it wasn't too bad. I listened to Enzo cut the promo of the night. It was a shame they had to come to an end. Some guys are meant for tag teams, and Enzo and Cass are another such team that should have just stayed a team, much like The Shield. Doesn't mean they can't compete in singles division matchups, but splitting them up in a fight like this was just lame and cliche and ruinous to what could have been a far for successful tag team.

That crap Miz was involved with wasn't watchable. Shame as normally I like him.

Samoa Joe vs Lesnar was good again. Should be the main event of SummerSlam not In Your House: Great Balls of Fire.

The women's gauntlet was actually booked fairly well, other than the utter dismissal of Bayley. Nia Jax looked like a monster, and Sasha is where she should be once again, in the main event of Raw and challenging for the title. That girls got attitude and she shows it off nicely. The nickname of The Boss fits her perfectly. Bliss vs Sasha should be a good match. Hopefully Jax doesn't get involved until after Sasha takes the title from Bliss. Jax finally seems ready to be a champion so taking it from Sasha down the road works well given their long standing feud this year.

Strowman vs Reigns will likely be the dark horse the steal the show at the next filming of their lives broadcast of a Sunday house show.

Am I the only one that wants to see Neville be challenged by Finn Balor for the cruiserweight title? That's more his speed and plays to his advantages (you decide on whom I'm referring). A little elevation of the cruiserweight title would do it some good, too. Hell throw in KENTA, Aries, Enzo Amore, and eventually Daniel Bryan along with Neville and Balor and you've got a division worth tuning in for on the wwe network.

Anyway. Not the worst Raw I've seen in a while. Certainly Joe vs Lesnar should be universally appealing to wrestling fans. No pun intended.
