So this week was a long video package of the Gargano/Ciampa story narrated by Ciampa and Gargano in sit down interview format, it told the whole story from their try outs at the performance centre, to being in the Cruiserweight Classic, to DIY to Ciampa turning heel, to both men being NXT champion, to Ciampa getting injured, to DIY reuniting, to Gargano turning heel. This was followed up with packages in the same format for Finn Balor and his WWE run to date and why he returned to NXT, then the Rhea Ripley story up to her match with Charlotte.

All the video packages were well produced and it was a decent recap of events spanning several years in the careers of the said talents and it provided a little peak behind the curtain in some respects too. I personally would have shortened it all down a bit, a hour would have been fine for this episode or perhaps they could have added in a old match rerun to get to the normal episode length.

I watched the last episode that was with any fans at all from the Performance Center from a few weeks ago. This episode really took place at a pivotal transitional time, where the powers that be from the WWE knew they had to minimize the crowd but also before the shit really hit the fan. In my eyes the atmosphere was perfect; the small crowd gave the show an old time feel like an indy show.

The most memorable thing that stood out to me was the crowd's reaction to Charlotte when she confronted Rhea Ripley. They chanted, "Go back to Raw! Go back to Raw!" at Charlotte. It is interesting the crowd had a loyalty to the NXT stars even though (as she said in the promo) just a few years ago Charlotte was one of the ones who made NXT what it is. It reminded me of the invasion era where the WWF crowd cheered the WWF people no matter who they were and booed the shit out of anyone associated with WCW. Today's NXT really does have its own identity and loyal following.

Like I said, the atmosphere was perfect. I as many others long for the day things are back to "normal"; but I fully understand why it can't be that way right now.

This weeka episode hasn't been uploaded to the Network as yet, this is very poor of WWE as this is a time when they could cash in on people being stuck at home which should result in extra subscribers but then they fail to get one of their most popular Network shows online within the usual timeslot.

Anyway I watched via other means, it was a ok episode nothing spectacular.

I find it stupid how announcers and talent can't talk about corona virus, Vince is making them use the term prevailing circumstances, get a grip Vince for fucks sake we all know what's going on and why your arenas are empty.

Pretty good match between Austin Theory and Tyler Breeze, I see Theory as a money player in time.

I skipped over Cameron Grimes vs Tony Nese and the Lorcan/Burch tag match, they were just showcase matches nothing more.

Good to see Io Shirai back who looked dominant in her match. Candice Le Rae vs Kayden Carter was another ladder match qualifier which was pretty solid, Le Rae has improved a lot as a worker.

Strong vs Riddle was a good match but this proved that wrestling matches are not as good without a crowd, I couldn't get absorbed by this match like I normally would. I was interested by the new team that appeared at the end and attacked Riddle, can't remember names but they were two large guys of I think Indian descent and had a manager who's name was Malcolm Gibbs I think, he did a good job on the mic and the team looked impressive with their size and power.

Good segment at the end with Ciampa, Gargano and Triple H as the moderator, I liked how they compared this to the feud between Hunter and Shawn years ago. It set the feud ending grudge match for two weeks time.

Pretty good women's ladder match for the number one contendership, seemed like there may have been some timing issues during the finish but it was a good match overall that didn't suffer too much from the lack of crowd.

Few video recaps, I enjoyed seeing Finn Balor in NXT UK and the build continues towards Finn vs Walter, what a match that should be and I'm enjoying the slow burn build up to it. Unclear if Balor is now working as a face, I hope not as I was enjoying his heel work.

Ciampa vs Gargano took up nearly two thirds of the episode, it was good but didn't do justice to what these two can produce in the ring if this was in fact the blow off match to their feud.
This was another cinematic production from WWE, not at the level of the Fun House or Bone Yard matches but they did a good job of cranking up the production values to add to the drama and make you forget there was no live crowd. It wasn't the wrestling masterpiece that we would normally expect from these two but it was still a gripping match.
