If you have the time to watch Raw or SD, with the road to mania, its skip either one of those and watch NXT.

The Raw and SD stories are all set for mania so it would give you a good insight into the NXT storylines in time for Takeover

I watched February through (or maybe TO) March 14th of NXT today (kinda, sorta) while I was in the waiting room getting our car worked on some more. Distracted watching isn't very good, but at least I got a bit of the gist of what is going on now, I just need to watch this week's episode and maybe last weeks sometime this weekend and I'll be caught up.

I have to say I'm not really a fan at all of the Undisputed Era, Kyle O'Reily, and Bobby Fish. Adam Cole has personality, but even him I'm not a big fan of. The tag team is completely bland, and uninteresting, the faction name is nonsensical to such a degree it baffles me that WWE would even allow a name so stupid, but maybe they're planning on another tag team later on called the Attitude Era or the Golden Age of Wrestling, or maybe even the PG Era. Without Adam Cole those two are absolutely nothing. Adam Cole himself may amount to the next Joe Hennig, yet even so Hennig at least looked like he could have been a star, Cole is just 100 lbs of decent character.

Alistair Black is going to be a star. No question.

Killian Dain is another guy that's going to be a star, but we all knew that after War Games last year.

Velveteen Dream continues to surprise me. I have yet to see what he'll be doing at Takeover, because he seems like he should be doing something fairly high profile, but nothing has developed yet.

Shayna Baszler tbh I really hope she loses and goes to the main roster, but I really don't know which way they'll go. I'd rather see her on Raw or Smackdown interacting with the women already up there, than with the women down in NXT. Either way the match at Takeover should be even better than the last because she is better than she was.

Ember Moon is good. That's about it. She doesn't wow me like some of the previous women in NXT have. She's by far the weakest link in the line of NXT women's champions. Yet she is far from bad, too.

Truth is, I don't really like NXT's women's division right now. Aside from Baszler & Nikki Cross, none of them really stand out and as clearly one of the best to go through NXT or even continuing the tradition of really great wrestlers NXT has produced from that division.

I think Authors of Pain and Sanity are getting stale in NXT, and need to go to the main roster. They're good, but NXT benefits so much from always having a rotating roster of people they build up and then ship out. AoP & Sanity have been there for far too long and are more than ready to dominate on the main roster.

I hope sooner or later NXT goes back to having the more traditional ramp, like the smaller version of the Raw & Smackdown ramp, the stairs bother me for some reason.

I also miss Corey Graves. When Graves doesn't have anyone in his ear that fucker is damned near as good as Jesse Ventura & Bobby Heenan.

Wow - i dont think ive ever disagreed with you as much as i do on this point. Undisputed Era are a fantastic stable, they have arrogance, charisma, all of them are super talented in the ring and they can all talk for fun.

They employ devious tactics such as back stage attacks or mid match attacks but they are also equally adept at winning matches without the others.

Adam Cole Bay Bay is phenomenal in the ring and has, like you see, character.

They are currently one of the best things about NXT right now

1 Billion percent agree with this - he is the best thing about NXT right now. He is still undefeated in singles competition and whilst that may cause an Asuka like problem (whereby she cant even lose in a tag match on MMC due to the talk of the streak) when he moves to the main roster, it is normally a good sign that he is highly thought of.

Again, i agree He needs to move away from the Sanity stable though now for me and go it alone. He and Lars Sullivan could have a decent match although i rate Dain far far higher than sullivan - just the way they have both been booked would make for a decent feud.

Someone else who is very very good and has a real unique style and gimmick which is getting him over big time.

I'm not going to spoil it for you - but he will be involved in something pretty high profile at Tkeover - so keep watching

I want baszler to win because of how she has been booked but i also want to see her on the main roster.

I'm not a huge fan of Ember Moon - she can definately work but she pulls too many weird faces for me and she is a bit shouty on the mic.

AOP still look the real deal though and are doing ok. They really look ready for the main roster.

Sanity could also be ready - maybe they could join Mat Hardys really weird world that he has going on because to me, they arent what i would call a champion level tag team - the best part of them is Dain by a long long way.

Kyle & Bobbi look like fans who want to be wrestlers, and Cole looks like a real wrestler who stopped growing too soon, and so is used as a side show despite being really pretty good. It's one thing to be short, it's another to be scrawny AND short. Neville looks like an NFL running back and as if he could punch a hole right through someone literally twice his size, Cole looks like Neville if he lost 100 lbs. of body mass.

I'll go back to my Savage vs CM Punk comparison. At 6 ft 1in, they were the same height, but Savage looked like he could break Punk like a twig. I can learn to be a fan of a shorty like Bryan or Mysterio, but when you present me a shorty and then he's also a skinny white guy with sunken chest that looks 2 weeks past his last chemotherapy treatment, then all believability is gone. Hell that stands true for comparing guys like Braun Strowman & Big Cass. Cass looks like chopsticks next to a tree trunk of Strowman.

I just feel bad watching a warmed over corpse get broken in half during some kind of hardcore match. They take a bump and I'm like OMG! He's fucking dead! You just killed a guy recovering from cancer! I'm not a fan of snuff, I want to watch a fight or a wrestling match or some combination of the two.

I'd rather fat than scrawny.

And that name, OMG I fucking hate that name. That literally takes everything I might like about those 3 out of me just watching them give those stupid hand signs and get introduced as the Undisputed Era. They need a repackage and they need to start eating their Wheaties/Steroids. And Kyle and Bobbi need to get a personality.

I hate to sound like JTB, but seriously those guys need to wash the indies off them because they stink like smarky elitists.

If it’s based solely on looks then Daniel Bryan should also not rate very highly in your books. He’s about the same height, intact Cole is billed slightly taller and they are the same weight.

Brick shithouses

Scrawny weakling.

You're right, I should. The difference is presentation and and conditioning.

Secondly I didn't buy into Bryan until he was getting paired up against The Shield and he kept insisting to Orton, Kane and others that he wasn't the weak link in the groups trying to beat the shield and that he wasn't the reason they were losing. He would go out there, dropkick the shit out of people in the turnbuckle and just do it over and over. It is a trademark of his NOW but that was when I really realized how much more intense he was than basically everyone else in the wwe at that time.

Cole has none of that character development yet, so hasn't won me over, grudgingly or otherwise. But even moreso he still looks half the size despite what they're billed as.

CM Punk is actually the best example of a scrawny weakling that got over with me. The guy was a total mess physically, but he had the mic skills and the storyline character development to pull it off.

Now don't get me wrong about Fish and oriely and Cole. I'm not saying the can't ever win me over, just that I'm not about to whore out my fanboyism to those pipsqueaks with them wooing me first. They need to buy me dinner first and give me a night to remember before I'll give them my ... Er... Wait what were we talking about now?

I half agree with Rico here, Fish and O’Reilly I do not rate, ok they are both solid in-ring workers but WWE/NXT is loaded with talented guys who can have great matches now, nothing about them stands out, they are as vanilla as they come.

Adam Cole I do rate, this guy has something special about him, unlike Fish and O’Reilly he has some IT factor it’s very much a case now of how WWE and Cole channel that especially when he finally hits the main roster. I see a bit of a young Shawn Michaels in him, he has that same attitude and swagger.

I get where Rico is coming from about his size as when he first appeared jumping Drew McIntyre my first thought was wow this guy is tiny, he may want to hit the weights hard and try and bulk out a little but as mentioned WWE is full of talent 200lbs and under these days so it may not be a issue and Cole has proved he doesn’t look out of place with larger opponents that’s the key thing.

The Undisputed Era come across as very cool almost like a low budget NWO and it’s a group that could be built upon, Cole is very much the star attraction but I would like the group to grow and perhaps morph into the much discussed indie faction featuring a selection of guys with ROH/Japan backgrounds etc.

Just change the name and most of my argument is gone. That name moots itself, it has no relevance, and sounds like an 8 years old put together two random words that sounded cool without knowing what the words meant or how they related to wrestling. It sounds like Engrish.

You can't argue this significant period of time. That is the literal definition of their team name. You could not have come up with a less relevant name.

Oh but flash those hand signs for the team initials! Those give you street cred! As long as you all do them together you'll look cool!

These guys are just try hards.

Another good segment with Tomasso Ciampa and William Regal, excellent heel work from Ciampa. The unsanctioned match between Ciampa and Gargano announced for Takeover, should be superb.

ECIII makes his debut!! This guy on the mic has verbal skills to rival The Rock, with his look charisma and mic skills I can see him headlining in WWE in no time. Cool theme music too although a little gutted they didn’t use his Trouble song from his TNA days.
Regal announces in the same segment that ECIII will compete against five others at Takeover in a ladder match for the newly created North-American title. As most of us know the five others will be Adam Cole, Ricochet, Killian Dain, Lars Sullivan and Velveteen Dream. What a match this should be.

Authors of Pain vs Street Profits was little more than a squash, Dunne/Strong vs Sanity was pretty decent.

Rest of the show was short segments announcing the participants for the North-American title ladder match and another segment where Andrade Almas attacked and beat down Alistair Black.
Good episode.
