Almas/Bonini - Bononi is back..they must see something in him as they keep using him. Vega on commentary keeping Percy quiet is funny haha. Ok little match, Almas still showing that showman side until Vega tells him to stop..wonder how long until he goes full or turns on her?

So we start getting a Sullivan squash then we randomly cut to a snippet from last week? Yeah shocking video merging there.

Another Sonja squash.

So a tag match with Ruby and a partner against the iconic duo next week? Not many options for her partner.

Ohno/Itami no DQ needs to be hard hitting so lets see....really enjoyable match, was hoping Itami would win but never mind. Wonder when they'll move Ohno back to the top of the card? Or will he be a target to Team Cole?

What a boring goodbye that was...they should have had hey lay someone out haha. I bet Asuka ends up on Raw as she is needed there more than she's needed on SD, even more so with SD having the MITB cash in to go.

Is that the first time only UK guys have been involved in the show ending main event of a NXT weekly TV broadcast?

I would have thought so, but because it wasn't mentioned I thought I might have missed one.....

If it is the first time then the commentary team missed a huge chance to make a big deal of it and talk up the division.

Shayna Baszler vs Dakota Kai - Short and brutal...can't say more than that.

Kassius Ohno vs Raul Mendoza - Nice and even match that flowed nicely.

Nice bit of fun between Street Profits and William Regal haha, Profits vs AOP next week should be good.

Lio Rush vs Lars Sullivan - Lasted longer than expected in fiarness. Rush managed a little offence, but a predictable ending.

Undisputed Era vs Aliestier Black & Roderick Strong - Good match until the Cole run in at the end. All for storyline purposes but still they could have let them finish the match properly first.

Good review Baz. Nothing there that I desperately want to see so will pass on it this week I think. That’s the beauty of NXT you can almost get away with just watching the Takeover shows and the odd match here and there.

Heavy Machinery  vs Tino/Moss - Decent enough opener even if it did end with a roll up of doom. Otis doing the catepillar is still brilliant!

Roddy vs Aichner - Decent outing from both men, would like to see what kind of effort these two can put in during a longer match though. Roddy calling out Lars haha.

Nice little video package on TM61...interesting that they allowed them to say The Mighty Don't Kneel at the start too!

Lacey Evans vs Aliyah - More even than I expected and it wasn't too bad in places! Predictable post match attack by Shayna...though Lacey vs Nikki could be interesting.

AOP vs Street Profits - Too one sided for a #1 Contenders match for my liking, would have liked to see Street Profits get a bit more offence in, maybe i'm just being picky haha.

I think that Lacey Evans is a quality wrestler

Hopefully she gets a run out in the womens Rumble

I like her persona too plus the marine background and her wrestling ability stand her in good stead

I wish WWE would stop airing the takeover dark matches as the next weekly show following takeover. I have no interest in watching that show and it takes me right out of watching NXT in general. I have yet to watch NXT since the takeover event the weekend of the Royal rumble.

Maybe some of it has to do with just not having as much time for wrestling right now as I sometimes do, but when I take a week off because of not wanting to watch dark matches it is hard for me to reallocate that time back into my schedule again.

You’ve been missing out bud, NXT has been consistently good for weeks now and they seem to have found a better balance to how they showcase the talent with only a hour show each week, every episode seems to have something worth watching now and you never feel like you’re just watching a episode of Superstars or Wrestling Challenge like before.

I liked it before, too. This is just about the fact that I haven't been able to make the time to watch it since skipping that obnoxious obligatory post takeover dark match with interviews show. It happens every time, and I have a hard time making time afterwards. It just so happens that this "season" I haven't made time yet.

I get that which is largely why I get my Raw and Smackdown fix via YouTube highlights most weeks now, the clips of each match and segment WWE provide on their YouTube channel allow you to watch both Raw and SD combined in around a hour to a hour and half max which is ideal for me as I simply don’t have the time for five hours of WWE each week. More often than not anyway the highlights give you more than enough from each episode, it means you skip all the recap packages and ring entrances which add considerable time on each week. If ever there is something I really want to watch like this weeks Ultimate Deletion match I watch that in its entirety and the rest via the highlights.
