Well worth finding an hour to give it a watch. It's very open and doesn't shy away from past issues.

He realises he came over as ignorant first time, so second time around made more of an effort to get to know his work colleagues.

You can see how much it means to his son. Must be pretty damn cool seeing your dad beating people up for a living.

Finally got around to watching this today, if like me you’re a Goldberg fan it’s well worth a look and answers some of the questions as to why his first stint in WWE ended the way it did and why he came back after more than twelve years.

I always thought Goldbergs first WWE run went the way it did due to frustration with his booking but seems it had more to do with the fact Goldberg was a bit of a social outcast in the locker room not interacting with the other talent and having very much a clock in clock out work ethic, seems he didn’t really enjoy the pro wrestling business and despised the backstage politics. The one thing that was consistent about him though was that he loved being a superhero for kids.

Couple of funny bits that show Goldberg’s frustration during his WWE run was first during a episode of Raw when Goldberg is walking up the ramp and getting a lot of boos, he singles out one fan who is giving him a lot of verbal and leans right in and offers the guy out for a fight even telling him the hotel he’s staying at and to come find him.
The second is during the infamous Wrestlemania 20 match with Lesnar and the crowd are ripping both guys to shreds, a close up camera shot of Goldberg shows him very audibly yelling ‘’fuck these fucking people!’’

They make a big deal out of how during his recent run Goldberg is a changed man, that seems to be genuine as he’s clearly very humbled by the whole experience and very emotional as well as extremely grateful to WWE for giving him the opportunity to share his wrestling experience with his family who had never seen him perform live before, obviously his family was his main motivation for coming back but it was also being able to erase from history the previous Lesnar match being his final wrestling memory. This time around he makes much more of a effort with the boys backstage and buries the hatchet with Triple H and Vince McMahon.

I do think that’s it for Goldberg in wrestling, they mention how they were able to tell a good story and put right the previous end to his WWE career with a second match with Brock Lesnar, this time one that was a exciting and hard hitting match and actually saw Goldberg doing a rare job for his opponent, a fitting end to his in-ring career.
Goldberg talks about the physical and mental struggles with preparing for his return aged 49 which also makes me think another return is unlikely.

Would have been nice if they’d explained why his matches always had to be so short although I think from watching this it’s clear that was in part due to concerns about Goldbergs stamina, risk of injury and his ability to work anything longer.

I haven't watched this yet, I read the first paragraph, and then decided to stop. I'll watch this at some point in time today and then post later. Thanks for mentioning that it IS actually good if you're a Goldberg fan, I kinda had my reservations, tbh.

No problem pal be interested to read your thoughts.

One thing that is very clear is that back during his WCW and his first WWE run Goldberg was definitely a bit of a asshole, similar to what you hear about Brock Lesnar.
