Quote It was also revealed on Smackdown that the winners of the men's and women's Money in the Bank match will earn the right to cash in their briefcase against the champion of their brand only. This would clarify rumors that the winners will not get the same treatment as the Royal Rumble winners, who were able to challenge the champion of either brand.

I would be more keen to make this a big 4 addition to make a big 5, if they had let the briefcase winners have the same rules as the Royal Rumble winner.

It would make the briefcases so much more fun if we had a Kurt/Paige segment where they say they have come to an agreement that if someone on their brand wants to cash in at the other brand, they can do and if successful will then be on that brand.

Think of the opportunities. You could be debating if Daniel Bryan is going to turn up on Raw to get Brock for example. Opportunity missed.

Elias v Rollins for the IC title is official for MITB.

Id love to see Elias win so he has a run with some singles gold but also because i think rollins should be in the UV title picture

I hope they wearing highly contrasting ring gear, cause I won't be able to tell the two apart otherwise.

U think maybe Kon has really been hating on Rollins all this time based on that similarity Rico?

Always seemed strange to me that he claimed he didnt want to Walk With Elias

Kon's probably just mad that Rollins broke up The Shield, and is taking it out on Elias because he can't tell the difference between the two! lol

Quote On the latest Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez speculated on a finish for the upcoming Daniel Bryan vs. Big Cass match at Money in the Bank match. The suggested scenario would see The Miz interfere and cost Bryan the match in order to set up a match between the two at SummerSlam, which is one of the programs that WWE was planning since Bryan was cleared to return to the ring.

-- The length of the Money in the Bank PPV was also discussed as the event has two more matches than Backlash, but the event is also technically being planned to be an hour longer since wrestlers/matches from both brands are being featured. Alvarez speculated that at least two matches - Nia Jax vs. Ronda Rousey and The Bludgeon Brothers vs. Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows would be kept relatively short.

-- Other matches on the card on paper could also be kept short - such as Asuka vs. Carmella and Bobby Lashley vs. Sami Zayn - in order to give enough time for the two big ladder matches as well as the Last Man Standing match between Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles.

I would prefer Miz to get involved after a Bryan victory, because Test Lite doesn't deserve a PPV win against him.

I wouldn't mind either of those matches kept short, especially as I expect neither to have a title change.

I would be against too many quick matches though. It needs to be more than a three match card. Something other than the obvious matches, has to be given a chance to shine.

I've been tweeting similar to what Alvarez is saying there. Bludgeons and Lashley are expected to squash their opponents so that the MitB matches have room to breathe.

I don't see them pulling the trigger on Miz/Bryan yet though, personally. I see Cass winning by nefarious means.

Rousey vs Jax is expected to be more of a angle than a match that possibly involves Stephanie McMahon but I hope Ronda’s first singles match gets some reasonable ring time.

Lashley vs Zayn I think will be a standard 10 minute or so WWE style match. Shame because these two if let off the leash could produce a really decent match.

I don’t really have a problem with the Bludgeon Brothers vs the Good Brothers being short, we know this is a filler match that Gallows and Anderson won’t win so why not just put the Bludgeons over strong.

The show is ultimately about the ladder matches and they need enough time.

Thanks to BetWrestling for the following:

With WWE making the move to offer less PPVs, there are less opportunities
for sports books to offer betting odds on the matches. We are now seeing
those sports books attempt to adapt to this change by offering odds
earlier than usual with the lower number of events being broadcasted. It's

Smackdown shows, but that is exactly what has happened. It will be very
interesting to watch how the current odds change after this week's
programming.

The WWE Championship is an even bet with both AJ Styles and Shinsuke
Nakamura having odds of -120 and will most likely change as we get closer
the PPV. Seth Rollins has really favorable odds of -675 to retain the IC
title against Elias. Both Women's Champions are listed as underdogs.
Carmella is only a slight underdog against Asuka, who is challenging for
the Smackdown Women's Championship. Raw Women's Champion Nia Jax is a
serious underdog against Ronda Rousey, who has the most star power on this
entire event.

The Bludgeon Brothers are major favorites defending the Smackdown Tag Team
championships against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Looks like the
Bludgeons' dominance is continuing for a while longer. Roman Reigns is
heavily favored against Jinder Majal, which makes sense considering he is
rumored to be main eventing Summerslam against Brock Lesnar. In other
matches Bobby Lashley is favored to defeat Sami Zayn and Daniel Bryan is
marginally favored to beat Big Cass again.

The Money in the Bank matches also have odds. The Men's match sees The Miz
as having the best odds of +140. Braun Strowman would be the second most
likely to win at +300. The least favorable to win is Bobby Roode with
abysmal odds of +2500. For the Women's match it is Natalya with the most
favorable odds of +160 followed by Alexa Bliss with odds of +400. The
worst odds have been set for Naomi at +3000.

Again, these odds are out earlier than we typically see and we are
following how they change over the week leading up to Sunday's event.

AJ Styles(c) -120 vs Shinsuke Nakamura -120

WWE Raw Women's Championship
Nia Jax(c) +400 vs Ronda Rousey -600

WWE Smackdown Championship
Carmella(c) +160 vs Asuka -210

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Seth Rollins(c) -675 vs Elias +425

Smackdown Tag Team Championships
The Bludgeon Brothers(c) -750 vs Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson +450

Roman Reigns -1350 vs Jinder Mahal +650

Bobby Lashley -590 vs Sami Zayn +390

Daniel Bryan -150 vs Big Cass +110

Men's Money in the Bank
The Miz +140
Braun Strowman +300
Samoa Joe +470
Kevin Owens +725
Finn Balor +725
Rusev +725
Bobby Roode +2500

Women's Money in the Bank
Natalya +160
Alexa Bliss +400
Charlotte Flair +405
Sasha Banks +500
Becky Lynch +900
Lana +1100
Ember Moon +1100
Naomi +3000

I can see why Nattie is favourite. Everyone expects her to turn on Rousey so you could have the feel good moment of new champion and then Nattie comes down and successfully cashes in on her already beaten down friend to be new champion and complete a heel turn.

I am happy with Miz as clear favourite for the mens briefcase. He's been in the midcard far too long and deserves to be taken up to the main event title picture.

Lana and Rusev two big outsiders. I wouldn't be that shocked if E had the couple hold the briefcases, so a small bet on the double could be a nice little earner.

For me, The Miz and Natalya make the most sense. The storyline for The Miz tells itself (he cashes in on Daniel Bryan at Summerslam after Bryan defeats Styles and then carries it to Wrestlemania as the Smackdown main event of the show) and I'd say Natalya would be the most believable option on Raw, potentially yes cashing in on the night, successfully or otherwise.

It's just a shame, once again, that Becky Lynch will do nothing important when it matters.
