Quote Pwinsider.com is reporting that the current plan for the 2018 WWE pay-per-view schedule is to have 14 PPV events that will feature 5 exclusive Raw shows, 4 exclusive SmackDown shows and 5 combined events.

The sports entertainment company will have a new co-branded event on June 17th in Chicago, Illinois with the Money In The Bank PPV.

The correct decision. A brand shouldn't have the edge over the other show by having it to themselves.

After the big four it's the most important PPV of the year, so it should be shared.

It's also a chance to build tension between the brands months in advance of Survivor Series, so fueds when it gets to November mean more.

Excellent news - Money in the Bank is the most successful and popular PPV outside the big four so I’m glad they’ve upgraded it effectively creating a big five set of PPV events.

To make the briefcase ladder match more of a big deal they should make it a dual brand match rather than having a different match for each brand, have talent from each brand competing in the same match then allow the winner to cash in for whichever World title he chooses.

Quote After the big four it's the most important PPV of the year, so it should be shared.

I would even go so far as to argue that until last year when Survivor Series was given the Raw vs Smackdown gimmick, that MitB was even more important than Survivor Series. Now, that's no longer the case, but I agree 100% that it's more important than any PPV outside of the Big 4.

It's the only gimmick PPV I actually look forward to each year other than the Royal Rumble.

MITB is probably my favourite PPV so this is good news.

Makes sense to share it as i feel it adds something to both shows when there is someone holding the case - keeps interest in every PPV as there is always the chance of a cash in attempt

It's a great idea but aren't SD getting short changed with only having 4 plus the joint, compared to Raws 5 plus Joint?

This is excellent for the following

1. Last years was pretty average as a one brand show

2. we need both brands to have an opportunity for the briefcase for both genders

3. This time around won't be marred by a man grabbing the womens briefcase that they had to do another match on Smackdown.

4. It gives more to the midcard while the champions can also fight it out.

5. The briefcase can also be used to cash in on the other brand effectively being a way to move over someone without using a draft pick.

WWE Money In The Bank 2018 will be taking place from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois on Sunday, June 17th. As noted, Triple H also announced a NXT TakeOver: Chicago special for June 16th in the same venue.

According to the official website of Allstate Arena, both the Men's and Women's Money In The Bank ladder matches will feature both RAW and SmackDown Live Superstars.

The AllState Arena website is advertising eight male Superstars and eight female Superstars for the big pay-per-view event.

Male Superstars advertised for the show include Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Braun Strowman, A.J. Styles, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode and Shinsuke Nakamura. The female Superstars advertised include Sasha Banks, Bayley, Mickie James, Nia Jax, Natalya, Lana, Naomi and Becky Lynch.

Check out the complete announcement below.

WWE MONEY IN THE BANK COMES TO CHICAGO!

FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER…

A MEN'S AND WOMEN'S LADDER MATCH WITH SUPERSTARS FROM RAW AND SMACKDOWN LIVE.

DON'T MISS IN ACTION YOUR FAVORITE WWE SUPERSTARS INCLUDING:

* ROMAN REIGNS
* SETH ROLLINS
* FINN BALOR
* BRAUN STROWMAN
* WWE CHAMPION - AJ STYLES
* RANDY ORTON
* UNITED STATES CHAMPION - BOBBY ROODE
* SHINSUKE NAKAMURA
* SASHA BANKS
* BAYLEY
* MICKIE JAMES
* NIA JAX
* NATALYA
* LANA
* NAOMI
* BECKY LYNCH

PLUS, MANY MORE LIVE!!!!

WWE IS THE BEST VALUE IN ENTERTAINMENT!

TICKETS START AT JUST $25!!

Still not a fan of the same venue being used two nights in a row, so the same area of fans have to find two lots of money. If they sell out they will have done well.

Don't think those who will be there should be advertised this earlier, thus spoiling the suspense.

I wouldn't be against someone being called up on the Raw after Mania and be pushed into a MITB match as early as that.

Making the money in the bank match exclusive to both rosters is a great move that makes this event more special confirming it as what is now a big five show.

Seems a long time since the winner cashed in and won the title. This match is a golden opportunity to create a new headliner by giving them a ticket to the world title.

This is one of my favourite PPV's so im always excited for MITB

Having 2 cases is great because it adds to the anticipation surrounding the titles on both shows plus it can be used as a breakout moment for guys from the 2 shows so its a good platform to move talent up the pecking order

So...if I'm understanding this right, the show will have FOUR MITB matches?

Bah gawd, just seems like overkill to me.
Just have 2 matches, one for both genders and say that the winner can cash in any champ from any show. The SD winner can cash in on a Raw champ and vice versa.
