"I'd love to see a future WWE talent take on a similar gimmick and hopefully they would study Rude closely for inspiration."

Watch Bobby Roode in his Glorious gimmick. It's actually quite spot on. If he were to simply play up the idea that he's a lady killer, and every man wanted to be him, he would have the gimmick exactly perfect. It's really the only part where he is different from Rick.

Agreed. He does the occasional autograph signing so it would be nice to think he'd be well enough to be in the audience to watch it, if it's not too much for him.

I'd never heard of this Warrior award guy before last night. Was anyone aware of him?

The crowd response wasn't great. Are fans already bored of this award?

No idea who the guy is. Kris Travis should have had that award. It's about showing spirit in the face of adversity, Travis was wrestling and raising money for cancer awareness right until the end, that is what this award is about.

My memory was tickled when I saw him. I DO seem to remember him in the news back from when it happened but that is about it. His case reminded me of Droz, so I'm guessing that is a big part of why Triple H has taken to this case. Sounds like he deserves it.

There is little precedent to say what the people who get this award should be like, and considering what he's been through and considering how many in the wwe have gone through situations not too dissimilar to his, it sounds like a viable enough choice. Steve Austin in particular comes to mind as well as Droz and Rick Rude and even after a fashion, Kurt Angle.

That was likely to be the highlight of the weekend. Loved this Hall of Fame. My face was aching by the time it was over from all the smiling I did. I hope so much that Kurt Angle is on WWE TV on a weekly basis from here on out.

Who's speeches were best? So far I've watched Page, his induction was great, what a character. I skipped the Rock n Roll Express as I know little about them and wasn't really interested. I watched Rick Rude's and enjoyed it, his son gave a very moving speech and his daughter..... well she's fit

That's where I'm at, out of the rest what is worth watching? Obviously I want to see Angle.

EDIT:

Nevermind finished watching it now, I watched Beth and Kurt, skipped Teddy and the Warrior award. Angles induction speech was superb and you could tell he was ecstatic to be part of WWE again, it's a crime if he isn't used on TV in a regular role and doesn't have at least a couple of matches.

I watched everything but the introduction to the warrior award by Dana Warrior. The Warrior Award was pretty skippable, but everything else is actually worth watching.

At first I thought the Rock 'n Roll Express were going to repeat the feat from last year by the Bushwhackers, where they completely stole the show and blow everyone's minds about how good they were, but the Rock 'n Roll Express cooled down after a couple minutes and went into the normal routine. They were however pretty good. And Jim Cornette is always worth a watch.

APA inducted Teddy Long and that was must see, even if you don't watch Teddy Long you need to see APA introduce him. Teddy Long was actually fairly good on his own too.

I was quite surprised at the size of Rick Rude Jr. He looks like he should be in the WWE and pushed heavily by Vince. He did a good job accepting for his father as well.

Went back and watched the APA and yeah they were very entertaining, reminded me of how much I enjoyed them as a team back when they did the whole APA Protection gimmick. Didn't watch Teddy though, was never a fan.

I was surprised at the size of Rick Rude's kid as well, he doesn't bare any resemblance to his old man that I could see but he has WWE written all over him, he must have had no desire to be a wrestler. Interesting to hear about how strong Rude was, it's no secret he was a genuine tough guy behind the character. Sad to find out that one of his sons died, I think I may have heard about that when it happened but couldn't remember.

Watched the whole thing and Wow almost perfect. Rock n Roll express was a bit cringey but all the Inductors did a fantastic job, APA, Bischoff, Nattie and Cena were perfect and of course Kurt killed with his speech and reliving all his gimmicks. Teddies speech was not too bad. But apart from Kurt the best speech was prolly DDP.

Beth was a standout speech for me because you could tell from her speech how proud she was going into the HoF and it showed that she couldn't quite believe it was happening

Warrior award was good too and the kid who got it was obviously a huge fan but had some jitters but hey it wasn't a terrible thing.

All in all best HoF for a long long time

Isnt it ace that Kurt Angle is back and raring to go again.
And even if this means in a non wrestling role, he really has still got that knack of making fans laugh. I think he could do a great job of Raw GM, as long as the scumbag Stephanie stays out of it!!
