The amount of title runs means little to me. It just shows she lost it a lot and she's not the legend of female wrestling she should be to say she was easier to stand out in during an era of shite like Eve Tores, Layla El, Ashley Massaro, Maria Kanelis etc.

She's arguably more well known for being the wife of a legit wrestling legend, than anything she did in her own career.

Chyna was a big part of one of the biggest wrestling groups and eras ever. Molly Holly is one of the only females to hold a non female title and was involved in a fued with an all time great Steve Austin. Miss Elizabeth was the original glamouress valet although much hotter in her WCW days. Plenty of other examples of women with better CVs than Beth.

No... just no.

I've used that argument before with other people like Chris Jericho as IC champion, and I always get crapped on for it, but it's not fair to make that comment about Beth Phoenix yet not about John Cena & Ric Flair and Triple H and Sting and Randy Orton, too. Or for that matter even Mickie James.

Beth Phoenix was legit in a time when basically no other woman was legit. My only complaint about her getting inducted is that it's too early. I would much rather see her make a return to the ring and have another run with matches against the 4 horsewomen, Emma, Paige, Asuka and Ember Moon, than to see her inducted like she's older than The Undertaker.

Mickie James is older than Phoenix and Phoenix is only a year older than Asuka. Phoenix should be back in the ring as the she-beast. Edge is retired, let him stay home with the kids. But whatever...

That's the problem. She stood out in her era because of so much shite around her and not because she was particularly any good.

Quote From Jim Ross Website

Congrats to Mrs Adam Copeland aka Beth Phoenix for her induction into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017. What a class act, a great, in ring talent, wife and mom. I hope that her husband Adam Copeland aka Edge inducts her. Wouldn't that be a first for a spouse to induct their better half?

I also loved that Beth wrestled on her boy's high school wrestling team.

Sad to see so many bitter fans complain about Beth's selection because Joanie Lauer wasn't inducted. Joanie's day will come if it is meant ot be and I for one hope that 'Chyna" does get inducted some day. Those sentiments are immature and unnecessary.

JR praises her four times but it's only his second compliment that matters for the HOF and he didn't mention it first.

Uncalled for to call fans with the opinion that Chyna is more deserving "immature" just for sharing an opinion.

I mis-read what you said, mybad. I thought you were naming "Eve Tores, Layla El, Ashley Massaro, Maria Kanelis" as better wrestlers in Phoenix's era.

Eva Tores Gracie is also legit. She might be the woman I'd least want to fuck with of anyone they've ever employed, but she never showed it on TV unfortunately.

I whole-heartedly believe that Beth Phoenix would stand shoulder to shoulder with, and maybe even a bit higher than the women the WWE currently has employed. She was a standout wrestler, which in her time does only make her one of the girls by today's standards, but at the same time, she was also right there with Natalya Neidhart, and I have yet to see anything from any woman aside from Asuka that says they're a better technician than Natty.

One down 2 still to get in as will Victoria and prolly so will Tori, Terri Runnel, Stacy Kiebler and Torrie Wilson (and Melina Maybe)

Beth did a shit load more in WWE than say Christie Hemme, Ashley, Jillian Hall, Kristal, Aksana, Candice Michelle, Kelly Kelly, Cameron, Ariel or Jackiw Gayda (And that just who I can remember). So I ahve no Issues with her going in at all

Loved seeing it officially announced that "Ravishing" Rick Rude is going in this year. One guy whose career was far too short. Had he never been injured he could have been world champion 10 times over. I still wonder what a babyface run would have been like for him.

It's a shame Bobby Heenan isn't inducting him too.

Well deserved. Rick was from a very good era where so many guys are legit legends without holding the main title, and he's one of them.

I hope it's brought up during his induction the history making moment of being the only person ever to appear on Raw and Nitro on the same night in their ring.

It's a shame he knackered himself to maintain the physique that lead to a far too early death.

I also hope they mention "The Jesse The Body Award" haha, loved Ventura commentating on Rude matches.

See I agree with most of what Adders said about Beth Phoenix but I also think he hit the nail on the head by saying she was part of a very poor era of women's wrestling, that was exactly the problem, at the time WWE didn't give two shits about the women's division, every match was a rushed piss break effort, the division was simply a afterthought of the product and I think most ladies who were part of WWE back then would admit that.
If Beth was on the roster now I think she could have had a much more memorable WWE career as she had the talent she was just unlucky to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Anyway great news about Ravishing Rick Rude, long overdue for a true legend. Unfortunately I didn't see much of Rude's career as his WWE stint ended and he went to WCW just before I started watching wrestling and then I was always a WWE fan only really tuning in to WCW a handful of times. But from the little I have seen of Rude it was clear he was a great talent and a fantastic natural heel, I'd love to see a future WWE talent take on a similar gimmick and hopefully they would study Rude closely for inspiration.
