Quote PwInsider reported that Diamond Dallas Page will be the first superstar inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. His name has been rumored for a while, but the rumors became even louder when WWE announced a 3 disc DVD on DDP’s career would be released this upcoming March.

Well deserved and long overdue as one of the biggest names of WCW.

It's a shame that the main reason for the timing appears to be so they can milk his induction to sell DVDs.

The work he's done with Yoga to help the lives of guys like Scott Hall and Big Show will have helped his inclusion also.

Sweet! One of my all-time favorites! At this point over half of the wrestlers in my top 10 are in the Hall of Fame.

Savage, Rock, Hennig, Angle, Goldberg, DDP, Foley, Roberts, Hitman, Jericho.

DDP is well deserved, not just for his in-ring career but what he's done to help past wrestlers with DDP yoga, the guy deserves it massively.

Quote In addition to Dimond Dallas Page, PWTorch reports that former WCW and WWE superstar, “Ravishing” Rick Rude will be an inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. Rude passed away in April 1999. He held the WWE Intercontinental Title and the WCW United States Heavyweight Title and then retired from ring competition because of back issues in 1994.

Another deserving one from an era you could become a legend without a top tier title run.

It shows no hard feelings from him treating them like shit the way he left for WCW.

They like putting in a token dead person so Chyna looks like she has to wait at least another year.

Now they just need to announce Big Van Vader, and my predictions will be 3 for 3.

After that I have only wild guesses as to who else would go in.

Hopefully they will add Vader what with his fading health, would be great for him to be able to accept the ring and give a speech at the ceremony rather than someone on his behalf.

Vader, Page and Rude would be a very strong line-up, interesting that all three have stronger ties to WCW than WWE.

Davey Boy Smith is long overdue as well.

Quote As WrestleMania 33 weekend draws closer, more rumored names for this year's WWE Hall Of Fame class continue to surface.

In addition to those previously reported, including Diamond Dallas Page and "Ravishing" Rick Rude, new names rumored for the 2017 class include William Regal, Christian, Mike "Irwin R. Schyster (I.R.S.)" Rotunda, Earthquake, Typhoon.

As noted, there has been some talk of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson going in soon. With the actual "headline induction" spot still to be filled, there has been some talk as of late regarding the possibility of The Undertaker going in this year.

The 2017 WWE Hall Of Fame induction ceremony takes place during WrestleMania 33 weekend, airing live on the WWE Network from Orlando, Florida on Saturday, April 1st.

When they put Regal in it will be thoroughly deserved, some for Christian and Mike Rotunda. The Natural Disasters is an interesting rumour for a Tag Team. It's a damn shame the Demolition guys are on bad terms with the WWE as surely they'd be a top bet to get in.

Also, as far as i'm concerned, if they plan on putting Dwayne or Taker in this year, they'll be announced first as that'll help sell the ceremony without a doubt.

definitely can see Natural Disasters as the Tag Team for this year, IRS would be interesting, if only to see if he gets inducted by Bo, Bray or Ted DiBiase.

Rock would be better than Taker if Taker is going to work Mania.

I agree about Rock over Taker. IMO Taker should get inducted the year AFTER he officially retires, not the day before like they did with Ric Flair. That never sat well with me, and I think Vince learned his lesson after Flair went straight over to TNA after he "retired".
