Quote WWE Fastlane is set to take place on March 11th, 2018 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. This will be an exclusive SmackDown brand event and the final PPV event before Wrestlemania 34.

The website for the venue is listing the main event as a huge fatal five-way match for the WWE Championship featuring AJ Styles vs Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn vs Randy Orton vs Shinsuke Nakamura.

Here is the advertisement:

Sunday, March 11 2018

WWE FASTLANE comes to Columbus for the FIRST time!

Witness the final WWE Pay per View before Wrestlemania 34.

See your favorite WWE Smackdown Superstars in action live including:

WWE CHAMPION – AJ STYLES VS RANDY ORTON VS SHINSUKE NAKAMURA VS KEVIN OWENS VS SAMI ZAYN IN A FATAL FIVE WAY MATCH FOR THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP!

PLUS,

CHARLOTTE

BOBBY ROODE

BARON CORBIN

JINDER MAHAL

NEW DAY

THE USOS

DOLPH ZIGGLER

PLUS MANY MORE! (Card subject to change)

I think we can assume Raw is winning the Royal Rumble match, because there is nobody outside of those in the title match that you could see as the number 1 contender at Wrestlemania, for whoever wins the five way.

No mention of the Bludgeon Brothers, but I suspect them to be on the card. Maybe a little early for a title match unless it's a multi team match.

Charlotte will hopefully be facing Becky Lynch, who should be back by then.

Honestly I can only hope that's a decoy because I completely agree that that's their top 5 guys and there's nobody else from Smackdown who could win the Rumble, really. I don't see much point in a Raw winner unless it's someone like Balor who takes it and switches sides.

I see only 2 names winning The Royal Rumble
Roman Reigns or John Cena

If Nakamura, Orton, Zayn and Owens are in the fatal 5 way then they are not winning the royal rumble

Shane recently tweeted that the winner of Corbin and Ziggler next week will be added to the title match at Fastlane and it will become a fatal 4 way

Quote As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in Bakersfield, CA at the Rabobank Arena on the USA Network, Dolph Ziggler beat Sami Zayn while Baron Corbin beat Kevin Owens in single matches. As a result of these wins, Ziggler and Corbin have added to the WWE Title Match at Fastlane alongside WWE Champion AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn.

Having a five man main event appears to be a way of making AJ Styles look even stronger going into Wrestlemania.

I'm hoping that Sami and Kevin both jobbing last night will save them both for having to do so at Fastlane.

Dolph is getting rebuilt now he's signed his contract, so because nobody really cares about Corbin, he's gotta be the favourite to take the fall.

Can’t see Zayn nor Owens taking the fall especially if they are going to blow off their feud Shane at Mania in some capacity, so I imagine this will protect them.

Ziggler’s a weird case in that to admin’s point, they just resigned him, although to me it seems like he’s hired back to specifically do the jobs for matches like this.

They are really up and down with Corbin.

No brainer AJ’s walking out with title to go to Mania against Nakamura. I can see Shane/Bryan being involved in the finish of this match somehow.

I kind of hope the finish sees Nakamura run out and just beat everyone down alongside AJ.

I hope Nakamura runs down after the match and takes out AJ to stop all the respect shit between the 2 and get a proper feud going on

The dream match will be that much more special when the crowd know who to cheer for and become more invested with who they want to win instead of sitting there not really bothered about which guy wins
