Quote Below is the official synopsis and promotional poster for WWE's Capitol Punishment pay-per-view, which takes place on June 19th from Washington, DC:

"WWE storms the Nation's Capitol in this inaugural pay-per-view event. Don't miss John Cena, Randy Orton, Edge, The Miz, and all your favorite WWE Superstars at WWE Capitol Punishment live on pay-per-view."

Randall looks like Kane with the shriveled body of Ric Flair.

Edge is mentioned....Wouldn't have taken much to get it changed so maybe he will be there.....

WWE need to be trying to get Batista to show up in his hometown even if it's just for one night only.

The blandest, shitiest poster I have ever seen. CZW does better work and has better ideas than that thing.

agreed.  I do like the name of the PPV though, my question though is this ppv going to be a yearly thing in DC similar to summerslam in LA?

Reminds me of the old In Your House PPVs.

The In Your House PPVs usually sucked, too.

Well, SummerSlam in LA is still a recent development.  This year will be 3 in a row.  Of course as soon as ticket sales slip, I'm pretty sure Vince won't hesitate to go elsewhere.  But barring a turnaway sellout crowd and freakishly high PPV buy numbers, I think this will be one-off event.

There were some gems in the IYH ppvs era like St. Valentines Day Massacre, Judgement Day, Mind Games, Bad Blood etc., Hell I would love for wwe to go back to that style of ppv names

^^^ agreed fully!

I Loved the IYH PPV's, I thought they were original and they always had someone win something, if I'm not mistaken they gave away houses! I'm not sure on that tho. But I can remember being HYPED about Mind Games and Bad Blood in particular.

Plus, I thought the set was bad ass! The house was awesome and it felt like they were really in your hood.

This Capital Punishment so sounds like it has been done before by WWE, maybe not this exact name but Capital Carnage or something along those lines. The E always usually throws around the same names with few new ones added.

I like the concept tho, it goes with the town and if they can make bank off of this were sure to see it return next year. And that's what I love about this part, we the fan decide what's hot or not. If it don't sell, its out, if were happy, its in. Sounds good right? Riiiiiiighttt! So ill order it, just because I want to know if it will be around.

** Your Welcome **

The poster is pretty blah...
I guess they still find it necessary to put the name of the guy on the poster...as if people don't know who it is.

I like the other poster that was presented better. Vince protrays the image so much better, especially looking like the business man he is, standing outside the Supreme Court.

I agree, This poster with Vince is a whole lot better. It shows 2 things WWE is based around, Politics( behind the scenes) and the corrupt power of the head people of the WWE(Vince, The Raw GM), which is also the foundation of our government. And the fact that the ppv is at DC adds to the venue. The one with Orton is so bland and it looks like any other poster for a new WWE ppv. As far as the ppv goes, does anyone have any idea what the gimmick is?

What about the third poster to be released for the event.........

WWE Capitol Punishment

They are going crazy with the amount of posters for this event.

I wonder if the president is aware his image has been used.
