I've seen some of the new character models for the game, and it's about time they look less video-gamey and more like the actual people.

All I care about is this.

The monster.
The lethal weapon.
The Phenom of WCW.

I have to admit, seeing him working (even vicariously through 2kgames) with the WWE again has me pumped that he might have one last run in the ring.

After being gone for over 12 years, suddenly seeing him back even just as limited as this makes me a mark for the guy all over again. He and DDP were my two favorite guys during the Monday Night Wars, and all that markishness is coming back full force.

BTW, look closely at the reflection at the very end. The reflection reads: "Suplex City".

What about the character models being less video-gamey for once?

There's HHH, Rock, Reigns, Lesnar, Cena, Sasha, Ambrose, Rollins, Neville and Charlotte's models out for now.

Credit where credit is due, it IS nice, but this is the kind of thing I expect to see from a sequel, better graphics, fine tweaks to the UI, better memory usage, faster computing, etc. What I'm interested in is what is REALLY new. Characters are a small part of that, but TBH I've never enjoyed these games.

I got the one with CM Punk on the cover, and it annoyed the hell out of me that when I tried to CAW I ran out of memory in no time flat, and then when I went to play the game itself it was just a stupid button mashing contest like it was back when I played it on the Super Nintendo as a kid. These days I'd rather play this game as if it were Dead or Alive, where it's more about combos than who can press the A button 150 times before the other guy does it. That shit is boring as fuck.

For me, the most interesting part of this is that guys like Warrior and Sting (and presumably Savage would have done this as well had he not died) all showed up on the video game, and then started making appearances on WWE tv in the months to follow. Seeing Goldberg back on WWE is really IT for me.
