I believe it was just "American Wrestling" on the posters that advertised it.
Never did find out its name =/

My first live event only happened about a month or two ago as WWE does not come to Australia much let alone Newcastle so when they do come you have to try and get their and have the best time you can. I once went to a WWA live event but it was such a long time ago I honestly cant remember much about it, I just remember Road Dogg and Buff Bagwell v Jeff Jarret and Disco Inferno was the main event, anyway back to the WWE event.

Kane v Shelton Benjamin for the ECW title opened the show and this was quite entertaining, Benjamin was trying to do Kung Fu stuff and Kane was just smashing him much to the content of the crowd. Kane needs to hit the gym after seeing him live.

CM Punk v Chuck Palumbo was a kind of boring match but I like Punk so that was enough reason to enjoy this match.

Michelle McCool v Natalya I missed most of this match because I went to the toilet but it was just your standard womens match.

Miz and Morrison v Noble and Funaki this match was for the tag titles and believe it or not it was just about the best match on the card. Miz and Morrison where doing a lot of comedy stuff and Noble and Funaki got a chance to show they could actually wrestle.

Finlay v Khali Hornswoggle came out and played some tricks which helped Finlay get the win, Hornswoggle was way over.

Chavo Guerrero v Kofi Kingston this was a fairly entertaining match, lots of quick action and some good reversals as well, Kofi won but took a beat down at the end from Chavo and Neely.

MVP Edge Mark Henry v Undertaker Matt Hardy Batista was the main event, Edge took forever to come down to the ring and get into the ring, he was playing to the crowd alot pretty entertaining match which saw Undertaker win.

I think thats it, there may have been more matches but they have left my memory.

Raw House Show MEN Arena:

One of the very first people to get into the venue that night. Me and Webby were there, as were some of our other mates and family in another part of the arena. It was very much a pro heel crowd that night. When there's bugger all inside the venue yet and it holds 20,000, the woooooo chants every minute were quality. Randy Orton was getting cheered over Shelton, which resulted in him giving puzzled "i'm the heel" looks to the fans. Flair faced Edge and Edge had to turn heel before the match for the night because of the pro Naitch crowd. Natich even kicked out of a spear. We must have been more or less the only ones in the arena cheering for La Resistance over Hurricane and Rosey. Funny looks we got was funny. Awesome main event between HHH and HBK and both guys got cheered loads. All in all the show was very good.

Was that Tour of Defiance in May (I think) 2004?? Also had Benoit vs Kane for the WHC. Reason I ask is cause I went to a Raw house show also at the MEN arena and that's basically the card I saw aswell. If I remember correctly, Flair's arse got exposed in his match with Edge so everyone had a good chuckle (and like me, got a few cheeky snaps aswell LOL). Great show, I live in hope that there's a bootleg copy somewhere because to see Kane in "work mode" is a sight to behold!

About 2 years ago, a small indy promotion came to my town, and were doing a tour over different parts of manchester, bury & wales. Tickets were only about £3, and I took a mate of mine to watch it.

Was actually a pretty good show, with a tables match and a battle royal for their best belt.
Only about 50 people there maximum, so I was able to get my picture taken with three guys on the roster. I was pretty chuffed.

Are those the shows promoted by Orig Williams?? I went to a few shows when they came to Rhyl and they were pretty good, they used to rotate cage/battle royal and TLC or something like that each week. Because of the low numbers I always got front row seats which was pretty awesome.

Anyway back on topic, my first live event was Insurrextion 2003 in Newcastle, if you've seen it you'll know how it went, but I'm likely a little biased when I say it was a pretty entertaining show.

Sounds about right I think fella. There's a picture Webby (webmasterff) took of my at that event that's never seen light of day because it's a side on picture of me drinking out of a straw lol. I hate being disturbed when eating or drinking. Deffo one of my pet hates. Our view was awesome as well. Directly opposite where they come out, slightly to the right and about halfway back. I believe Batista had a match against someone (I think it was Matt Hardy) and he won but the decision got reversed because he did a beatdown after the match.

My first live (in person) wrestling event was in mid 90's at the Bluefield National Guard Armory in Bluefield, WV for the Independant Promotion Deep South Wrestling.

Former WWE Champion the Iron Sheik was on the card as well as Ricky Morton from the Rock N Roll express.

But the greatest thing about that night was two young brothers calling themselves, what was it..oh yes, The Hardy Boys.  I was very impressed with what I saw that night.  Jeff was already doing his daredevil antics, flying over the top rope with no mats on the floor.  It was incredible and they won.  I told them after the match that one day they would be WWE Tag Team champions, glad I was right.

The first ever live event I went to was a Smackdown! house show at the Breslin Center in Lansing, Michigan. I believe I was 13 or 14. It was pretty much what got me back into wrestling. I remember a very good chunk of the card as well:

-Booker T def. Heidenreich (I believe, could have been the other way around)

-Rey Mysterio def. Kenzo Suzuki (his valet hit him in the head with his own kendo stick, pretty funny)

-Orlando Jordan def. Nunzio (pretty much a squash)

-John Cena def. Rene Dupree (choked him with the French flag too)

-Main Event: Big Show def. Mark Jindrak & Luther Reigns in a 2 on 1 handicaped match in a Cage (was suposed to be Kurt Angle but that never happened)

I believe there was also a Cruiserweight match too but it's hard to remember. I still have the program for the show as well. It was a night I will not forget. I was shouting so hard that my voice went hoarse for about a day, it was one awesome night.

My first show was ROH's Liverpool debut "Unified" it was an excellent show. Austin Aries and Roderick Strong Vs The Briscoes was my pick for MOTY in 2007 and watching it over and over on DVD I stand by that, The crowd was super hot and the action just never stopped the main event got more attention but that match is exactly what I want from wrestling.
