Quote In an update on the WrestleMania 30 location, the early candidates right now are Los Angeles, CA and Madison Square Garden in New York City. In recent years, WWE has outgrown arenas for WrestleMania and have been running the event in stadiums.

The idea with holding the event at MSG is they've held WrestleMania 1, 10 and 20 at the arena so some within the company are pushing to continue that 10-year tradition. The plan would be to jack up ticket prices to an "insane" amount", knowing they'd still sell out the arena and would profit off a huge gate due to the ticket prices being so high.

The downside to running MSG would put WrestleMania in the same market two years in a row. That's not really something they want to do.

I hope it's in MSG, simply because I could tie it in with a New York holiday and finally attend a Wrestlemania like I've wanted to for a good few years now.

Logically though WWE will want a arena that has a larger capacity given the huge crowds Mania always draws, especially with this one being the historical number 30.

Its going to be MSG without a doubt.

They always mark anniversary's with shows at MSG and WM is the biggest of them all. 30 is a big number, im positive MSG gets the honors.

As for going, idk about that. 29 is in my home state and if 30 is in NY thats an hour n a half drive but really i wouldnt waste the preposterous amount of money they ask for to purchase a ticket.

Youve got a way better seat at home for way cheaper. Thank god for PPV.

I know going live must be awesome, especially if you've got tix for the HOF and Axxcess but really IMO it isnt worth it. I could feed a family of 5 for a month the way they price tickets. Its horrible. I know they have packages and all that but really for some families its a strain just to rent it a $55 let alone attend it.

If im spending that much, Rosa better give me a blow job then sit on my face ...

I live, was born and raised in Los Angeles and I've always wanted to go to another WrestleMania. The coliseum here is HUGE and that would easily break WrestleMania III's record and go over 100,000 people

Quote As we reported last week here on the website, there has been talk that Wrestlemania XXX (30) will take place in New Orleans, LA. February's Elimination Chamber PPV will take place in New Orleans and there is speculation that the announcement will be made that week

Another new location rumoured to go alongside Los Angeles, London, New York etc.

If dirt sheets keep adding different possibilities they can say they got it spot on when officially announced.

A few months back on Sky 1 a Ross Kemp show from New Orleans aired where tens of thousands there starve, don't have jobs, crime rate is high, life expectancy has shortened etc since Hurricane Katrina. Maybe the state should use their cash to better use than bidding for a scripted entertainment show.

Elimination Chamber is going to be at the New Orleans Arena, which is a smaller venue next to the SuperDome. The New Orleans Arena is the home court for the NBA Hornets. While the SuperDome is home of the NFL Saints. The rumor is that WM30 will be at the SuperDome.

Remember when these cities lobby the WWE for WM, they aren't throwing cash at McMahon. The cities offer the WWE a tax break instead. The cities allow WWE to pay less in taxes, because the city makes it up in other revenue streams. WrestleMania Weekend is almost a WrestleMania Week. Fan Axxess, Hall of Fame, the PPV, Monday Night Raw and the SmackDown taping all take place in the immediate area.

New Orleans will be the host city for this upcoming SuperBowl in Feb. 2013. So getting WM the following year should pump in a ton of money into the city. It seems like city leaders there are finally making some progress in bringing business back to New Orleans.

I've also heard a rumored site for WM 31 in 2015.

MegaMan, your sig should read: "You're Welcome" Sandow would not be impressed.

Anyway, I'm hoping for MSG for a white hot crowd as usual.

According to sources from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the sight of 2014's WrestleMania 30 has been rumoured to be the home of this years Super Bowl....

"WrestleMania
XXX is pretty much now confirmed for the Superdome in New Orleans, which would be the first time there’s been a pro wrestling show there since WCW booked Nitro there on June 21, 1999...The expectation is the official announcement will come in February in conjunction with the Elimination Chamber show, in New Orleans."

Well, if is the eventual venue of 'The Showcase of the Immortals', I can't say I'm disappointed or even surprised. I don't know if its just me, but even if they didn't have the NY/NJ theme Show of Shows this year at Met Life Stadium, I don't think that WrestleMania will return to Madison Square Garden just yet, as in probably the next ten years or so (how long they usually leave the gap). Because WWE always want huge and massive crowds for Mania's. It makes in appear and feel more like that this is 'The be all and Grand Daddy of Them END All' type of event, and really I agree. Plus, they get more money in for the attendance tickets anyway, so thats another huge selling point for the WWE.

Although, it will be a little weird not having a 'tenth-style' Mania at the Garden next year, if anybody knows what that means....

Wrestlemania XXX, if Undertaker is up for it, he should wrestle John Cena.

Why? I believe it will be one of the biggest matches of Cena's career and possibly a hard one for fans to decide. It's the cornerstone of the WWE versus WWE's Superman, the guy who seemingly rarely loses.

I said on another type forum that it could be the biggest match of Wrestlemania history, especially with all the hype but I could be wrong on that solely because of how badly Undertaker's body is and the fact that so many wrestling fans hate Cena and won't give him any credit for it because he's involved.

I don't get the hype for MSG holding wrestling events, I don't think it fits well there at all and the layout always looks screwy with the tiny walkway (Royal Rumble 2008).

Sure, for boxing and other sports its a great arena, but fuck man, much rather they go to one of those huge NFL stadiums for Mania.

I can see the historic significant's behind the building, but that doesn't mean it should be the host the biggest event on the Sports Entertainment Calender, especially in this modern era.

To be honest, I'd much rather see a jam-packed outdoor stadium filled with around 80'000 people!
