Quote The backstage belief is that if Vince McMahon was to receive an offer for close to $4 billion for WWE, he would likely sell the company. Currently, taking the value of WWE stock into account, the company has a market worth of approximately $3 billion.

Family business or not, if someone bids a third over the actual value you have to accept should that happen.

The issue the buying company would have is putting it into the deal that those in the top positions have to stay in them for X amount of years for a transitional period.

If those at the top didn't want to work there with it no longer Mcmahon owned, the new boss would be screwed trying to replace Shane, Steph, Hs, Dunn etc if they all quit as soon as the takeover was announced.

Coudln't honestly seeing anyone pay that amount of money for WWE that would actually take the company in to a better place than the current owners.

Whilst i 100% agree with alot of peoples opinions on Vinces involvement and booking decisions, he still cares about the business and wants to keep on growing it - hence the huge push towards the Womens Revolution.

I cant see anyone willing to buy it that would then develop the brand in the way Vince does

I still think Vince is trying to light a fire under his kids' asses. He bought out his dad, he's ready to sell, but he wants his kids to buy him out. Another part of that story is that Shane did try to buy him out, but I think Vince didn't like the offer Shane made and so turned him down. It's been a number of years now since I read about this, I think it was about the time Shane left the WWE. Who knows what the story is these days, but I still get the feeling that Vince would like to sell to one of his kids were they to make a serious offer. That same gut feeling tells me he doesn't like the idea of dying and letting his kids inherit what he bought from his father and then built upon himself.
