On the BBC Sport website you can do your all time World Cup team and this is mine.......

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-27699398#001048023025034080090069060103099

Ratings wise it only beats Pat Nevin out of all the experts.

Nice to see no Messi available from the forwards to pick as he's not had a good world cup yet in three attempts.

if we start with them 4 we can absolutely guarantee to be eliminated by the time we come to face Costa Rica

Gerrard
Lallana Wilshere (even though he had a poor game v ecuador)
Barkley

i would have put the ox in there instead of wilshere had he not gotten injured

World Cup Winners: Argentina best price 23/5 with BWIN.

Golden Boot Winner: Lionel Messi best price 17/2 with YOUWIN.

Reasons: They should piss the whole thing in their own conditions and trying to get one over their local rivals in their own country. They only have Nigeria, Bosnia and Iran in their group. From that alone they should top the group and stand a chance of cracking double figures worth of goals. Then because France should win their group they will have an easy Last 16 tie with either Switzerland or Ecuador which they should win by two or three clear goals. Before you know it they should have scored a dozen goals and be in the last eight. Messi has scored 14 goals in his last 12 games for his country and despite a quiet season for Barcelona he still scored 41 goals.

My outside bet is Belgium - backed them at 18/1 to win and also 7/1 to reach the semis

Top scorer will and can only be Neymar - he has something to prove given all the expectation and somewhat of a quiet start to life at Barca

Biggest Disapointment: Spain

Biggest Outsiders: Belgium.

Reasons: I agree with Double H about Belgium. They can beat a few teams with the likes of Kompany and Lukaku (who's in great international form). A team that other teams will want to try and avoid. Spain aren't what they were 4-6 years ago. Plenty of their stars of recent years are in their 30s coming towards the end of their international careers.

Cant see Holland getting out their group, Spain have the squad thats dominated the international scene for 6 years plus the addition of one of the best strikers around in Diego Costa.

Chile are a bit kamikaze at times but great to watch and in home conditions should be comfortable too. They beat England easily last year.

The South American sides are all a bit overrated, Argies havent played like contenders since the '80s and only look good on paper. Brazil are overreliant on Neymar and have a flaky back line, (ditto Uruguay with Suarez, and to a certain extent Colombia with Falcao & Rodriguez).

Beware the Germans. They're totally under the radar and always perform when it matters.

You would actually play Barkley over Sterling after watching the second half of the season? Unbelievable.

Belgium is not an outsider for crying out loud not being/performing is irrelevant when you have a team filled with trophy winning players. They are a genuine team with a strong chance of winning it, but don't start with this "Dark Horse" shit. Chile is a dark horse.

Brazil have to play the second of group B in the first knockouts stage so them coming up against Chile or the Dutch that early won't be easy. Argentina and Germany set to play in the quarters again which is a bit rough.

France and Belgium have the best draws.
All Hail Mitchell Johnson and David Warner.
