This is the second time this week that someone has been released whilst dealing with personal problems, involving their family. If it wasn't for his personal life he would still be there now. His tenure was too short, but if he's not looking to come back anytime soon, it's best he's released anyway. Now the ECW roster is one more weak and so now more than ever new faces need to show up. He will probably be back once his personal life is cleared, which is the main thing.

He asked for his release has things involvoing his family doesn't look it will be resolved any time soon and he said it was not fair for WWE to keep him on the payroll  during this time.  He and his family are going through a really rough period and he said once everything was settled that he would be back.  Keep him in your prayers.

This is another bad loss for WWE, Cor Von was a long way from being the finished article but he had shown alot of promise and had both the look, mic skills and in ring style that WWE likes. Given time i would have expected him to have at the very least become a regular in the high mid card on Raw or Smackdown. Maybe this release was a mutual decision as i know he was dealing with some personal issues, either way i would expect him to return to TNA or even back to WWE in the future as Cor Von is a decent talent.
This is worrying times for WWE, the roster is very thin with the suspensions and has been made worse by the possible resignation of King Booker, the pending departure of Ric Flair and several bizarre releases, as well as Cor Von the Sandman was released, he was a decent reliable mid card act who had a gimmick that was really over, apparently he was also a model pro backstage, another strange one was Cryme Tyme, this team was over big time and were great as a opening match act and one of the better teams in the otherwise pretty lousy WWE tag division. WWE seems to be heading on a path of self destruction at the moment, TNA must be rubbing they're hands.

My original post above - I suspected the Cor Von release was to do with his on going family issues and im glad the door has been left open for his return, Cor Von is a great piece of talent and i would hope his return would see him show up on Raw or S/D rather than ECW.

Yes his release had to this the family issues and he was the one that requested, he said it was fair to keep WWE in limbo while he attended to family.  Vince told him he perefered to keep him on payroll so that he would have money coming in to help him with the family.  Cor
Von told Vince that was very appreciated, but didn't think it fair to Vince or the company.  Vince told him when he ready to make return he would have a place waiting for him.

Sometimes Vince can come off as a real class act. I hope things work out for the Alpha Male and his family situation clears up enough for him to make a return. He must be doing something right for Vince to offer so much help.

Vince does alot people don't know about.  Everyone thinks that the character he plays on TV is what he is in real life and he is so totally 100% the oposite.  Alot of people didn't know he paid for Sherri's funeral

Vince can see a star in the making in Cor Von is why. Vince is a decent human being im sure but at the same time he is a ruthless business man which he has to be when at the head of a multi-million dollar empire, if Cor Von was a talent WWE could live without i dont think Vince would have been so gracious.

I wouldn’t expect Monty Brown to jump back into a wrestling ring anytime soon. Brown (Marcus Cor Von) was released by WWE on 9/19, after being away from the company for "family issues." It is believed Brown is raising his sister’s children (one sister passed away), and thus, the reason he isn’t traveling. At this time, the thought is that he may be done with the wrestling business.
i hope thats not the case, i dont know how much children his sister had or how old they are, but i dont think he will spend the rest of his life bringing them up, surely in a year or two they will be old enough to have a nanny or something to watch them, maybe cor von can make one offs if he can find someone to watch them for a day or two, cause i dont know what he is doing for money.
Qouth the draven, nevermore.

Well, we hear quite a few stories about the generosity of Vince McMahon. Most of them come from the top tier players though. I never had a doubt that the Mr. McMahon character and the actual person were two very different people, but it's these stories of above and beyond actions to take care of his talent make him seem less like a bottom line businessman and more of a person that treats his employees like family.

Quote Jim Ross Website: I don’t think the WWE wanted to release Marcus Cor Von but his personal/family situation dictated such. Perhaps Marcus will get another opportunity some day with the WWE but taking care of his young family members is much more important than his wrestling career at this time. Hell, at any time.
yeah, i still dont know how young his family members are, but it is a good thing for him to do, and hopefully if/when he does get back, its as a face or better character so he can prove that he was worth waiting for. wwe never really used him on the mic, even though he is really good on it and i hope to see him on smackdown as well or as the ecw world champion.
Qouth the draven, nevermore.
