Dynamite is just that lately. I haven't been interested in wwes male roster in a long time now, but here in AEW? PAC, Jericho, Hangman, Brodie, Jake the Snake, Moxley... I'm loving these guys. I'm even interested in seeing Sammy Guevara develop. He reminds me a lot of Jericho, Eddie, Mysterio, and Chavo back when they were all in WCW. He's a guy who I could see headlining WrestleMania 10-15 years from now in the later stages of his career almost like AJ Styles.

Big credit to AEW for capturing my interest after not having watched in a few months. They've done it with not just one or two storylines either but 5-7 or so. WWE hasn't had that many storylines that have interested me since late 2013-mid2014 when you had Bryan, Punk, Shield, Wyatts, Cesaro, and Ryback all in interesting stories.

If AEW can keep this going for long, it'll be a new golden age in wrestling, at least in my mind if not anyone else's.

Good episode this week, I enjoyed that they had more singles matches this week rather than throwaway tags.

Cody vs Havoc was solid, I enjoyed Omega vs Guevera, the Hardy and Jericho segment was very entertaining stuff as was the Brodie Lee segment, the Jake Roberts pre-tape was great stuff too.

As the AEW roster is getting stronger the product is too, Hardy and Lee are great additions and we have the debut of Lance Archer next week and Brian Cage is on his way in too. I expect Ryback, the Revival and maybe ECIII to have joined too before the end of the year.

Jericho cutting a promo on Vanguard 1 was great. Although I think I can already hear Jim Cornette bitching all the way down in Castle Cornette.

Overall, the entire show was so entertaining. And right now, that puts them light years ahead of every WWE brand. With everything going on in the world, they are well aware that their job is to be an entertaining diversion.

AEW is walking a tightrope at the moment. They are leaning a bit more on some of their veteran talents to carry the storytelling load. But they haven't completely cast aside their younger talents. Jake Roberts & Brodie Lee delivered solid vignettes. While Sammy, Darby and Kip Sabian were all featured in action to show off their athletic abilities.

So far AEW seems to have found the balance between veteran established names and young, hungry upcomers. It's a balance that WCW and TNA never seemed to find. There was plenty of times when both WCW and TNA had amazing talents filling their midcard, while their main event was filled with largely past-their-prime guys there grabbing big paychecks. I definitely feel like the veterans are there to help build up and develop the younger guys.

So they had a few scattered talents in the front row section again this week which again helped a little in terms of creating a very small fan like atmosphere for the matches. Fewer talents than last time when they did it so they are obviously working within the limited numbers and social spacing confines.

Kenny Omega vs Trent was a very good match, my complaint here though is Omega should not be wrestling hard fought marathon matches where he narrowly scrapes a win against the likes of Trent, it should have been a exciting quick paced match but Kenny should have won more decisively.

Lance Archer destroyed Marko Stunt in a squash, obviously this was a complete mismatch but Archer looked huge against the tiny Stunt and was impressive with his power offence. I like Archer and can see him as a top guy in a old school monster heel role.

Good video package building Moxley vs Hager, I'm starting to buy Hager as a legit top guy with his new MMA fighter gimmick, AEW are doing a good job of trying to erase the Jack Swagger stigma.

Very entertaining Jericho promo filmed from his home which also featured Vanguard 1.

Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall faced two members of the Dark Order who were just called 7 and 8. Not quite sure why they've put these two together, Dustin is fine as a high level enhancement guy and Marshall is a jobber.

Main event was Guevera and Spears vs Cody and Allin, solid enough match to round off a pretty good episode.

Few low card and unknown talents scattered in the ringside seating areas again this week, once more this really helped give the matches some sort of a normal feel and flow and I think WWE should consider it.

Jake Roberts pre-taped promo to start the show, typically dark great stuff. Jake is in isolation now I believe so we likely won't see him on tv for a while.

Lance Archer squash match, this big guy looks impressive.

Lengthy video packages covering Moxley and Hager to build to their match, this was good stuff that really tried to put over Hager as a two sport prize fighter, I'm still not totally convinced by Hager but this is better character work than anything he did as Jack Swagger so it's worth a shot.

Chris Jericho on commentary through this episode, he was hilarious.

Omega and Nakazawa vs Best Friends, I hated this, it was goofy and they played it too much for laughs, Omega needs to get serious I don't want to see him involved in this sort of crap.

Matt Hardy pre-taped promo, funny stuff. Challenges Jericho to a final deletion match.

TNT Title tournament opener Cody vs Shawn Spears, very good match and I barely noticed there wasn't a proper crowd throughout so good work to AEW on this one.

From Dynamite this week.....

I enjoyed the Bubbly Bunch segment, was funny stuff.

Lance Archer vs Colt Cabana was a good showcase for Archer, this was good use of Cabana too, a name people know who can put a top guy over.

Hager vs Moxley in the empty arena match was disappointing, was slow paced and dull, AEW would have been wise to take a page out of WWE's book here and added some cinematic production to liven the match up, but they didn't and it was just a very average match with no crowd reaction. Shame as the build up to the match was very well done, this proved that lengthy main event matches in a empty arena don't really work without the post production touches.

I would like to see some of the lower card get more established for aew when this pandemic is over because it just seems to be wwe rejects and the former bullet club dominating things at the moment across the board, people are lapping it up now eventually they will tire of it, I want to see more of the guys like Jimmy Havoc rise up a bit and at least give them a title they can go for that so they dont just have one of 2 titles one in which you need a tag team partner to get.

Pretty solid episode this week.

I really liked Sammy Guevera vs Darby Allin, two of the best home grown prospects in AEW, great contrast of unique ring styles and some great spots in the match, the ladder spot in particular looked brutal.

Not sold on the Dark Order yet, it wouldn't surprise me to see this angle aborted as it's not being well received. Shame as I think Brodie Lee is doing a fairly good job with his character but the material he's working with isn't great.

Jimmy Havoc vs Orange Cassidy was a nice little mid-card offering that built a angle for a match next week.

Matt Hardy pre-taped promo segment was pretty good, interesting that Matt broke away from his Broken character for a few minutes and spoke as regular Matt, this is obviously a reaction to some of the negativity towards his gimmick, I thought the character transition was done pretty well.

The Bubby bunch was silly nonsense, AEW should abandon these segments.

Kenny Omega wins a squash match, I hope this is the beginning of a rebuild of his character because the way he's been booked so far has not been good, he needs a reboot, he definitely needs to get more serious and stop the silly shit.

Dustin Rhodes vs Kip Sabian in the main event was ok, nothing special.

Good episode, I enjoyed the TNT Title semi finals, Cody vs Darby Allin was a good match and Lance Archer vs Dustin really put over the dominance of Archer, there was one really impressive spot in the Archer match where he walked the rope like The Undertaker then performed a moonsault on to Dustin, incredible for a man his size.

Best Friends vs Jimmy Havoc and Kip Sabian was a pretty crazy brawl but I found it hard to get into this match as I'm not much of a fan of anyone involved aside from Orange Cassidy.

Jon Moxley cut a pretty good pre-taped promo, was very fan friendly where he referenced the current climate a lot.

Chris Jericho on commentary was brilliant as always.

MJF pre-taped promo where he was being typically heelish making comedic excuses for why he hasn't been at Dynamite, was good stuff.

Wardlow worked a squash match, he's a impressive power wrestler and could be something special in time but he's still very green.

Dynamite was worth watching just for this crazy brawl main event of Kenny Omega and Matt Hardy taking on Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara in a street fight.
Some really entertaining spots in this match proving again that these kinds of matches are something AEW does really well and I think they should consider introducing a version of a Hardcore title.

Matt Hardy was on top form throughout and I enjoyed how he switched outfits and went back and forth in character from Broken Matt to standard Matt during the match.
