Anything less is a huge miscarriage of justice.

I 100% agree with this.

Can you imagine though, regardless of what promotion it happens in, preferably AEW given the TV14 (unless WWE relaxes its ratings abit to accommodate for some more attitude era type promos) ...

Velveteen Dream vs MJF

The promos would be fantastic, the matches would be epic - for me that is the biggest rivalry in modern day wrestling (in terms of potential) . Two of the best talkers, two great workers, 2 flamboyant characters - it has huge potential and that is the feud id most like to see in the future.

See in a perfect world, I see WWE becoming the promotion NXT is for the most part. There are some things that WWE's main roster does extremely well, but NXT's match emphasis and less is more philosophy goes a long ways.

So in a world where WWE is more like NXT, then suddenly people who were once stars in NXT ARE once again stars treated and pushed like they were during their time in NXT. In this environment Alistair Black becomes a giant badass once again. Sami Zayn becomes one of the best whitemeat babyfaces I've ever seen, easily on par with Daniel Bryan circa 2013-2014. Big E. becomes the 5-count heel champion. Bayley is the star for the children to cheer, and still backs it up in the ring, AND gets the smarks after her simply because she's cute and can wrestle and the Cena-gimmick thing just works for a girl like her. Sasha Banks is once again the Boss getting accompanied to ringside by her body guards and they lift the to ring itself. A guy like Neville/Pac could be a bastard AND a well regarded champion.

If WWE were to evolve into this after Triple H takes over, then AEW is in pretty deep shit TBH. And WWE has the far better roster, too. In which case I'd much rather see Velveteen Dream in WWE.

Otherwise, yeah, probably best to be in AEW, though I still feel like pickings are very slim in AEW for now.

Exactly this.

I want AEW to succeed but I don't want them to completely rape WWE of all their best talent and replace WWE as the wrestling promotion I watch. What I want is for them to get enough WWE and indie/Impact/ROH talent to fill out the AEW roster nicely and become more like ECW in their prime, a alternative promotion with a different vibe with a cult following that perhaps produce a slightly more edgy and adult themed product.

But what I really want is for AEW to force WWE to be better, to make them realise where they're going wrong and to modernise their product into a more mainstream version of NXT which is what most fans want and it would appear most talent in WWE want it too.

WWE can afford to lose a few names to AEW, it will be good for the business as the WWE roster could do with some thinning out as they just don't have enough space on the card for the depth of talent they currently have and many deserving wrestlers are not getting opportunities as a result.

Velveteen Dream is a guy I want to see remain in WWE, hes a product of their system hes home grown and I want to see him succeed there.

With his gimmick, hell never be taken seriously on the main roster in the current climate.

In order for him to succeed, Vince needs to retire and i cant see that happening any time soon.

You can tell hes getting impatient by his call me up vince antics all the time and various other things he says and posts online.

If they call him up now, hell be misused and seems liek the type that would jump ship if he didnt get his own way.

I would like to see him succeed in WWE but i just cant see it at the moment.

The thing about Velveteen is that he just oozes so much charisma and personality from other major names. There are times he seems exactly like Ravishing Rick Rude, other times, he's the Macho Man Randy Savage, others Hollywood Hogan, others The Immortal Hulk Hogan.

Throughout it all he's just like Lenny Kravitz, and realistically ought to have Kravitz Black Velveteen as his theme song, but Vince doesn't like to pay royalties for music so only does that for the very top stars (Ronda Rousey, CM Punk).

The point is that Velveteen Dream is tall, and has a ridiculous amount of charisma and like Fletch pointed out is homegrown talent picked up on Steve Austin's season of Tough Enough along with Mandy Rose & Sonya DeVille. If there's anyone WWE should want to push, it's Patrick Clark as he'd make a fantastic foil for Roman Reigns superman babyface. At least to start, if he were a heel pushed to the main event to job to Reigns then so be it. Truth is Dream could make that work to his advantage, and that example is a likely scenario to happen.

As for AEW, I'm a little bit in the same boat as Fletch, I don't want WWE to go away, I want WWE to get good again. However I'm totally fine with AEW becoming as big as WCW in 1997 and dominating the wrestling scene, making WWE the underdog.

At the moment I'm terrified of what will happen to any top NXT guys when they hit the main roster. In NXT they have creative freedom with their characters and can go full throttle in the ring, then they move to Raw and Smackdown and Vince gets his claws in and decides what his vision for them is which most of the time is a completely out of touch and just ridiculous view and it ruins everything they built for themselves in NXT. My biggest fears at the moment are what will become of standout NXT talent like Adam Cole, Matt Riddle and Velveteen Dream.

The good news is both talent and fans are making a lot of noise about how out of touch Vince is and how they want a edgier more NXT style product all across WWE so surely sooner or later we have to see change especially with AEW now on the scene.

I would say Adam Cole and Matt Riddle have to worry. I don't think Velveteen Dream does.

They all absolutely have to worry

Cole and Riddle are "small" and IMO would struggle to make an impact to make a mark on the main roster with current WWE booking.

Dreams gimmick is so different that when he gets on the main roster, WWE creative will 100% want to put their ore in and make it what they think it should be / do what they think it should do. They'll then turn it into a Fandango like comedy act.

Dream would be RUINED on the main roster and as much as no one wants that to happen - its an absolute fact - nailed on.
