Dillinger looked good in his debut. They got the timing down with hitting his music. I barely had time to wonder who was going to debut when Hawkins made an open call to the locker room, when he said I'll give you ten seconds and bam! I realized who it was going to be and the music hit at exactly that same second.

I'll be honest, I don't see his chances of making it big on the main roster as being very high, but he ought to make a good low to mid card filler for a few years like Swagger or Rhodes, or DiBiase Jr., etc. For the time being he is plenty over though.

Coming out when Hawkins mentioned ten was as cheesy as him being the 10th competitor in the Royal Rumble match.

He will have his place in the babyface midcard, but struggle to crack into the main event picture.

Probably be a modern day version of guys like Cody/Barrett/Swagger etc in only being able to get so far and so leaving annoyed at a lack of top tier push.

Yeah I don't see him being used in the ME tbh. I think he may be this call up's Sami Zayn which makes me sad

It doesn't make me sad if it means Zayn moves into the main event spot where he belongs.

So you rate him? Why? Not knocking it but I don't see the fuss about him just yet.

Quote From Jim Ross Website

Sonar Asks:
Your honest opinion on Tye Dillinger? I am so happy he's finally made it. His journey in developmental to the main roster is incredibly unique. I can't think of anyone else with such a successful story for that type of situation.
J.R.'s Answer:
Dillinger seems like a fundamentally sound athlete with a viable aptitude for the biz. Now we see how he evolves and connects with the fans. Connecting=Money.

He does have athletic ability, but that's not always enough as many guys over the years can vouch for.

He needs a strong fued from the very start, so hopefully this coming week is the start of a build for him.

Must admit he's never struck me as anything more than a guy I could see used to enhance the important members of the roster, so in other words a jobber to the stars.

He does have in ring ability though and the 10 chant is over big so I could be wrong, but my gut feeling is he's a mid-card act at best.
