Yeah the wrestling personalities i've had replies from in the past include Sullivan, Jim Ross, Goldust and erm Tyler Reks.

Could be worth having a Google of Sullivan Books when i've time to see what could happen.

Money wise I don't think it will cost us a loss if we get enough involved.

haha we do need at least ONE sheep opinion if we could even find one. You know, a "CM Punk is evil and John Cena should be president" kind of person. Just for variety's sake, anyway.

I take it you are volunteering to be the brave soul to wonder off into the land of sheep to find this said person?

Just a few questions about this: What will become of the money that would come in if in fact this book does sell?
Has the ball started rolling here lately on this project, and what has been done so far?
...has anyone came up with a title yet?

I've not thought of us making a profit. I thought it would be more we say we want X amount of books printed, publisher says it will cost X amount and we divide between the two to find out how much we would all equally pay for a copy.

So far just this thread to gain opinions to work together to see if it's achievable. If people want to do certain things that's good. Maybe make this thread an announcement for a bit.

First we would have to decide what we plan on doing the book on.

I would be willing to wade through the Sea of Sheep, and I think we should just make it a semi-autobiography on modern wrestling fans. If we did that, we might even be able to turn a profit. People would be interested in a non-"expert" opinion. I mean, we supply the wrestling companies' profit to an extent, don't we? I know I would be interested in something like that.

OK Ducky if we were to some how make some cash i'd say profit would go on (here are some ideas).........

1) Putting down a deposit on a second book.

2) Putting out our first book in hardback if it's only paperback to start with.

3) Taking a tiny bit of ad space to promote the book and this forum in magazines like Power Slam, Fighting Spirit Magazine, and a few stateside ones like Inside Wrestling maybe.

Ok, what about a "fan biography" type of work? We could get different views and perspectives of the sport from the eyes of the fans. We all have different views of certain topics, and we're all inherently different and our backgrounds are probably different. Why we became wrestling fans, our favorite wrestlers and moments, what we think of different personalities (Vince McMahon, Paul Heyman, Hulk Hogan, Chris Benoit, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Verne Gagne, etc) and other questions. Each chapter could start with our username and our profile picture. Is this a good or bad idea?

Sounds like a pretty good idea to go to the list to think about.

How big would we look the book to be? A decent size paperback not too small and not too big would be about 250 pages or so.

Not sure how much per copy would be charged by a printers, but keeping a lack of colour to it apart from say the front/back cover to it would keep cost down.

Maybe the best option would be to set a number of pages wanted, then have everybody write their piece and see how many quality articles we can get in that number.

I already have my piece in mind. Wink
