This was another show that suffered from being too long, over four hours, felt exhausted by it and found it hard to be interested in some of the matches due to having to sit through so much wrestling. I think in future with PPV’s I may have to watch them in at least two separate sittings.

I liked Bryan vs Cass, unlike most I’m enjoying Big Cass’ heel work and this was a solid big vs little contest. I think it would have benefited from being a bit shorter as it seemed to drag a bit in the middle and Big Cass with his basic big guy style maybe isn’t ready for lengthy matches, but on the whole very reasonable effort.

Lashley vs Zayn was poor, short squash designed to put Lashley over. I can see a Bobby heel turn coming as this smiley generic face character isn’t working.

Rollins vs Elias was excellent, fast paced and gripping. I felt they missed a trick by not giving Elias the win but at least Rollins didn’t win clean.

Women’s ladder match was very good, the spots were well worked and everyone played their part. Much more action and more hard hitting than the last ladies money in the bank match.

Asuka/Carmella was so so, silly ending with Ellsworth.

Reigns vs Jinder = boring. Predictable Reigns win.

AJ vs Nakamura was good, the best of their disappointing series, sadly by this point I’d lost interest in this feud and couldn’t get absorbed into the match. Too little too late.

Rousey vs Jax was match of the night. Gripping action and Ronda really seems to have this wrestling lark down doesn’t she, two matches so far both match of the night and the most interested I’ve ever been in women’s wrestling. Alexa cashing in was fine with me as I liked her as champ but Nia Jax needs to go full heel again. The booking of Ronda so far has been very good as her sporadic appearances and rare matches make everything she does and especially her matches feel like a big deal.

Men’s money in the bank was another fun spot fest. Enjoyed it.
I’m ok with Braun winning as he can now challenge Lesnar which is far more appealing than another Roman/Brock match.

Bryan Vs Cass - Fairly decent match. wasn't anything amazing but not a bad match by any means.

Zayn vs Lashley - Zayn tried to make this good but Lashley was not able to keep up with him and it was bollocks.

Rolins vs Elias - Seemed like it didn't go as good as it could have been. I think these two could have put on a show stealer but it was just missing something.

Womens MiTB - Amazing BUT I did NOT wanna see Bliss with the breifcase. I was hoping for Becky Lynch to be given the push.

Carmella vs Asuka - So Asuka got to lay down for Carmella and the Chinless Wonder made his return. Not good.

Reigns vs Jinder - Pointless.

Styles vs Naka - Very good but they will not be able to top their meeting in NJPW. Solid match though and great effort by both guys very entertaining.

Jax vs Rousey - Fair enough I guess. Wasn't fussed on it but it was good for what it was.

Mens MiTB - Amazing again but I did not wanna see Braun with the fucking Briefcase.

Y'know what?....It's really fucking hot here in Africa. Who knew?....Well me, I have been doing this for almost 5 years

Didn't see the pre show and missed the Daniel Brian vs Big Cass match but that's forgettable so who cares.

Lashley vs Zayn was a big squash Lashley needs something more then a vertical suplex as a finisher.

Women's money in the bank match was good I really wanted Becky to win the match I was quite upset when Alexa won it

Roman vs Jinder was actually not bad I'd give it a 3 out of 5 which better then most matches involving Jinder the crowd though just destroyed it by being the smark crowd Chicago usually is.

Elias vs Rollins was great probably Elias best match he's had on the main roster.

I enjoyed his musical concert especially when the crowd chanted we are morons he just looked confused by their reaction.

Mens money in the bank was good Braun was just an absolute beast in there and Mizs reaction was just perfect when Braun Ran through the ladder.

Ronda vs Nia was good easily Nias best match she was great on offence and that tease for the armbar was good even the cash in by Alexa was good (I still would've preferred Becky being miss money in the bank).

Carmella vs Asuka was good for the most part right until once more James Elsworth showed his chinless face again god I hate this guy like my hatred of him is on par with Kondors hate of Elias.

-Zayn vs Lashley was dog shit
-Rollins vs Elias was good but never hit that next gear for me
-Womens MITB was fantastic
-Carmella vs Asuka was weird
-Reigns vs Jinder was boring
-Styles vs Nakamura was freaking incredible.  And the thing that pissed me off the most about it was the fact I knew I woild get online and see people shit all over it.  That was a GREAT match and EASILY match of the night and a solid MOTY candidate.
-Jax vs Rousey was pretty good and Ronda was better than Nia,  LOVED the finish.
-Mens MITB was a hell of a lot of fun.  Probably not as good as womens but still really good.  The spots were fantastic.

Bryan/Cass: Test Lite tapping again was great and Bryan did the best he could with the opponent he got dealth.

Zayn/Lashley: Pointless squash please let it be the end of it.

Rollins/Elias: As entertaining as the matches Seth puts on as part of Raw every week.

Womens MITB: Lots of predictable ladder spots and not much else. Took the women ages to move the ladder into place and struggling to unhook the briefcase despite being up there alone.

Carmella/Asuka: Ellsworth did his best to save the borefest.

Reigns/Jinder: Typical smarky Chicago crowd of CM Puke fans trying to make it about them with a this is awful chant when it wasn't and a Mexican wave.

Styles/Nakamura: Another great match between them. The best of the night and the best these two have had on their current run. Styles Clash on the stairs was fab.

Jax/Rousey: Too short so didn't live up to the hype at all. Another easy night for Rousey on her bumper pay.

Mens MITB: Seven guys couldn't take out one Sleepy Nothing memorable about it.

Overall I would say B- in that it's what I am used to now of an event that 4:15 for 2.50 a week on the Network I can't complain. But if it had been the days of 14.99 on Sky Box Office I wouldn't have felt value for money.

Keeping it spoiler free:

Bryan v Cass was crap
Zayn v Lashley was one of the worst matches ive ever seen
Rollins v Elias was awesome
Womens MITB was awesome
Carmella v Asuka was crap
Reigns v Jinder was too full of rest holds - plus the crowd really hated on it
Styles v Nakamura was boring again and they really have failed to live up to the hype in this feud
Jax v Rousey was MOTN for me
Mens MITB was average - not as good as the womens

Overall Show - B-/C+

Only one. Rob Van Dam. He challenged a much more heavily favoured opponent but used his choice of arena to throw Cena off. It was great storytelling.

I do think Meltzer is just pulling names out of nowhere. One thing you'll notice with the WON is that over the course of the build he will predict every single possible winner and then people will attribute whichever one turns out right to have been the sole prediction. It's not even him that does it; fans just decide the right guess was the only guess.

There's no doubt that Alexa is a true opportunist and her character on Smackdown Live was built like that. On Raw however those elements are absent to the point of nonexistant. I hope to see them again soon because she was developing that Edge-like quality.

That said, I'd put Owens and Bliss very low down on the totem pole of potential winners.
