That was always going to be the case though, she was never going to go to the WWE until she was done with her MMA career, and she was never going to be done with her MMA career until she was losing and didn't want to compete anymore.

This should be something to look forward to, but I really doubt WWE's ability to make a good storyline of it. As of now the stuff they've teased for storylines have been really pretty awful and that's coming from someone that would really like to see this feud come to pass.

  • Ronda Rousey has been training recently at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. Plans appear back on to have a Horsewoman vs. Horsewoman match at WrestleMania 34, giving her, Marina Sharif and Jessamyn Duke several months to train and get ready.

  • If the match goes off well, there is a good chance that things will build towards a singles match for Rousey somewhere down the line. It was originally expected that if Rousey wrestled in any sort of singles match, it would be against Stephanie McMahon, but it's now expected to be Charlotte Flair.

Credit to her she's taking the chance really seriously to be down there training already and learning the wrestling way.

E will do a brilliant job of building her up, even though in the MMA world at the moment she's seen as pretty washed up from back to back defeats.

When she gets her first mic time in a E ring to start building to something, she will get a pop.

Yeah I don't see her there full time, but maybe early on she'd work a relatively heavy schedule, for all TV tapings just so she can make the featured storyline a big deal, but after that the schedule would lighten considerably.

She's still a big deal though, just because she's not constantly being talked about doesn't mean the buzz wouldn't be insane if she officially made the jump to the WWE.

It's true her stock in UFC has never been lower, like many she hit a high then came crashing down and I think many don't expect her to fight again.

Despite that though a hyped up WWE debut would still be big news and would bring a lot of publicity to the company and for a short time at least would likely boost interest in the women's division.

Can't see her coming to WWE full time though, she's made a ton of money in MMA and has done alright in Hollywood as well. Maybe she'll get a Lesnar type deal with WWE and in honesty that would be the best move, if she came in full time there would be a lot of buzz initially but then it would fade. Using her as a special attraction like Brock would keep her value high.

The best thing about her these days were her leaked naked pictures and those weren't great.

I'm sure they will piss off the female roster by giving her a huge pay day for one short match, at a time when he stock has never been lower due to back to back defeats.

She got twatted badly to lose her title to someone who lost it in her first title defence. She should have been brought in when her stock was at it's highest when she shared the Wrestlemania ring with The Rock when she grabbed Steph.

Nowadays she doesn't mean anything like as much to people.

Seems like a lot of people do that. They'll go undefeated for a long period of time, get cocky, start talking shit, get KO'd, get back up, get KO'd again and then just give up. She wasn't the first, she won't be the last. She may be the biggest name in recent memory though. I know the same thing happened to Gina Carano. Until he made his not so successful return last year, the same thing happened to Brock Lesnar. They all have their reasons of course, but it all ends up the same way, with their detractors saying that they just crashed and burned.

I can't thing of anyone who crashed and burned so quickly. Some MMA pundits were seriously debating if she could beat male opponents just a couple of years ago.

Amazing what one KO can do to a person LOL

Sounds promising... I wonder if Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey are going to get paired together as a condition of her (Rousey's) contract (you know? The one we all assume she's going to sign in due time). And by paired I mean working a series of programs together either as opponents or as a team.

Update on her starting training.

Quote According to a report at Fightful, Ronda Rousey's interest in a pro wrestling run has picked up steam and she has sent out feelers to WWE expressing her desire.

-- The report adds that WWE and likely Triple H referred Rousey to Brian Kendrick in Southern California for training purposes. While she has already taken some "basic bumps", the buzz backstage was that her official training would begin soon.

-- As noted over the past few months, WWE would certainly be open to having Rousey join the company but as far as we know, any wrestling match would almost certainly be saved for WrestleMania. They were actually interested in having her at WrestleMania 33 this past April, but nixed any ideas after Rousey's loss at UFC 207 in December.
