If anyone is interested ECIII finished up with Impact following his Bound for Glory cinematic match with Moose, he was working without a contract there and his return was only a short term thing.

He is now headed to ROH and is expected to be working with them until the end of the year. I think there is a good chance ECIII will be in AEW next year.

I listened to ECIII's appearance on the Talk is Jericho podcast and was impressed with his creative mind and his understanding of the business.

He came across as intelligent and articulate and showed no bitterness towards WWE, he was clearly disappointed with how his second stint went there even describing WWE as his dream job but seemed very accepting of what happened and happy that he had now moved on, he did seem very baffled with how they used him there as I think many of us are.

He had a lot of good to say about Impact and seems very grateful to them for giving him the opportunity to develop the ECIII character, it seems he only left the first time due to the financial and management issues plaguing the promotion at the time and he was able to part on good terms. He did say he had accomplished everything there at the time and wanted another crack at WWE.

Despite the success of the original ECIII gimmick he wants to re-invent himself as a new version of the character inspired by the Covid era.

He said he had a lot of things in the pipeline that he couldn't reveal just yet and suggested that he isn't commited to Impact long-term and will work for other wrestling promotions, so perhaps we will see him in AEW after all.

His ladder match this past week was the best performance Ive seen from him so far, as hes mostly just worked squash matches up to this point I was reserving judgement on his ring skills until he worked a full match, I don't include his match with Sting as it was a short and untidy mess of a match largely due to Stings sloppy performance.

Anyway he showed skils this week I didn't know he had so it does seem hes the full package, charisma, mic-skils, great look/physique and he can go in the ring, does seem very strange WWE cut him without even giving him a shot on the main roster.

God why am I the only talking about this great man?

The man, the myth, the legend ECIII had his first real match on Impact this past week and he was as impressive as ever. His dropkick off the apron onto Gunner and the Superfly splash off the top rope onto a prone Gunner on a ladder were the two best spots of the match. He also took his bumps very well when GunStorm was on the offense.

One thing that is disappointing about ECIII's ascension to the upper midcard is that TNA aren't giving him an opportunity to hit that sweet looking headlock driver finisher he has. I get that Sting can't take the move but from reading house show reports, he isn't winning matches using that move either. And if he ever gets in the ring with Kurt Angle, I DONT want Kurt to have to sell that move given the state of Angle's neck.

I get more and more miffed every week why wwe didn't do anything with this very talented dude.

I like what TNA is doing with this guy. I like that he is working with guys like Sting, Angle and Joe because to establish someone as an important talent on the roster, you need to work with the top guys in the company and ECIII has been doing that for months now. And he has a ready made feud with Hardy once Hardy returns eventually.

I like that he and fellow spoiled brat Magnus cant get along because each others ego wont allow that to happen while Aunt D is trying to keep the peace in Dixieland.

I enjoyed his Impact365 video where after defeating Sting he claimed that he absorbed Sting's power and now he is the Icon of TNA

I just want TNA to add to the smugness of the character. There are these Dos Equis commercials about the most interesting man in the world and I think doing little ECIII video packages either for TV or just the Impact365 in the same vein would be awesome.

From what I have seen, ECIII is decent on the mic and his ringwork is solid, However his look is so generic it kills it a bit, the haircut, the perfect pearly whites and the chiseled abs is exactly what everyone thinks when they hear wrestler, and it is ECIII (Which may be his gimmick, wrestling perfection? I really haven't seen enough to know). He does play the Heel Role very well, and the few promos I have seen are pretty good.
We bashed the door in. The bad guy was a dick. I shot him

Got no problem with that. Give him the TV title and let him use the corrupt ref to his advantage and make it impossible to lose the title because he can cheat while others have to play to the letter of the law.

Hell on the rare occasion he loses a title match, have HEEL Dixie come up with a bullshit reason to void the victory for ECIII's opponent and ECIII escapes with the title.

The thing is, as far as I'm concerned, EC3 hasn't got anywhere. To me he isn't a heel, because he hasn't done anything I would consider heelish. He's an opportunist. There's no credibility to him at all because he hasn't been in the ring with anyone of any worth at all - and getting a sixty plus referee to lay down for a three count is not doing it for me either.

All EC3 is doing is using his positon to beat no hopers and referees past retirement age and all I;m thinking is "What a bleeding waste" because he could be using his position in the company to royally screw over the best of the best.

For instance, if EC3 were to get in the ring with someone of worth, say Sting, having bought out the ref of the match beforehand,  then both of them blatantly screw Sting out of winning the match, well, then I'd sit up and take note. Why? Because that's how I think this kind of heel should be operating. It amazes me that no-one has thought to have a ref as a corporate ref, like Nick Patrick was in WCW and later in the WWF.

He wouldn't be fired because he's in the pocket of the Corporate and the faces going up against the corporate heels would have to work damn hard to win a match they're in - which strengthens their babyface persona (just by entering the ring in the first place against such odds) and also the heels.

ECIII is being booked as a heel who has got where he is through nepotism and he cowardly beats on jobbers who are much smaller than him, so its simple logic that he would weasel out of a match with Sting, as long as Sting does the job when the two of them do square off I have no problem with the way this feud has been booked so far.
Despite Sting being in his fifties hes a legend in the business who heels will fear and run away from, its textbook stuff.

Just a shame Sting didn't put him over then isn't it... He just entered the ring and EC3 did what Bobby Roode had done in the past and left like a chickenshit
