I think this would be a great way 2 really get Sheamus back into the ME fold on a more full time baisis. His push stalled heavily after losing the WWE title, but a strong, good written feud with Christian is a great way 2 make him seem like a viable contender for Randy Orton's Title ...

I'm really looking foward 2 the matches between the guys. They both can go in the ring, and are 2 of the best @ selling offense. They really tell a great story and I could watch these 2 for months on end and not get bored. I just love Sheamus. Always have. He captured the title early and made it believable. He's just so beastly and intense, the perfect opposite to Christians laid back, funny guy. Tho it is weird for 2 heels to be working together, it wouldn't be the 1st time that happened and I think if any 2 can pull it off, they can.

It woud have to be a short feud, because creative runs the risk of the crowd either turning Christian back face or turning Sheamus face. I liked Sheamus as well, ever since the ECW days, but creative did shit to him that made his character seem like a joke: the numerous ginger references by Cena, that idiotic outfit after KOTR, running from Nexus like a little bitch, etc.

But if they take him seriously like they should and let him show his aggressiveness and intensity, while also having good matches with Christian, then it should be a good feud.

On Christian's side of the ball, he needs to develop some kind of aggressiveness or else he runs the risk of turning into a goofy, comedy heel. If he is too comedic the crowd might start buying into it and turn him face again. If he is going to stay heel he needs to keep a mean streak going for a while and get some real, heel heat instead of tweener heat. That will add that X factor to this feud: crowd involvement.

I thought creative ruined Sheamus when they took the US title off him.  He was starting to get somewhere with that.

Since Sheamus got punted I think that could be used as a way to turn him face.  Just reference the old Shark Boy in a coma bit from TNA a few years back.  Sheamus wakes up from a coma in the hospital and now thinks he's really from Cleveland.  Hell, have him start to use the old Patriot mask and come out to "Real American."

Laugh all you want.  But if you think about all the kiddies in the crowd... you have to admit it would go over with the Cena-set.

It'd be funny, but I'm not a fan of automatically starting off with something goofy like that, just because it doesn't help build legitimacy very well.

I think the best thing the WWE can do is let Sheamus take some time off, and while he is gone build up Mark Henry as a monster monster heel (which is what it looks like they are gonna do). Then after Henry has decimated all of the Smackdown  big men, he can declare himself the most dominant big man there. Out comes Sheamus, to dispute that fact, and let them have a good little program.

The fued has been teased in parts for months now, but I think it's going to be full on from now.

Christian walking out of the match was typical cowardly actions to make his opponent mad.

After being made to look weak for months against SuperRan, it's important Christian gets some strong victories here.

I think, as Mark Henry appears to be getting the push to the World Title these two have no choice to feud until the inevitable fatal four way between four where Sheamus can pick up his first WHC. It is important to keep Sheamus relevant as he should be main eventing again soon and, like you said, Christian needs to get some credibility back.

Yeah, I was kind of expecting some kind of tangle between Cage and Shaemus on this week's SD! but Cage was a complete no show, and Shaemus only appeared for the 20-man rumble. Shaemus was kick-ass in the rumble, but it's a shame Cage couldn't be in it as well to maintain momentum after losing the title.

I think Christian will be back next week with his lawyers saying that it is in his contract to have a rematch. If he does then it could be made a Triple Threat leaving Sheamus with nothing to do. Perhaps, if it is made a three way, then Sheamus can cut a promo at NOC or, better yet, get involved in the WHC match putting himself next in line for the title.

Shaemus should have had the WHC title a short while back - he flattened Orton twice in two weeks and got robbed by Cage interference, and really should have been next in line after Cage to tangle with Orton, but WWE has gone with Henry.

That said (hrrumph lol), you are probably right about the triple threat, Maty. With Shaemus, WWE keeps teasing a feud between him and Barrett and could run that in the meantime. Barrett needs to get a decent workout with a credible opponent if he's to have any chance of getting near the WHC, and Shaemus is just the guy to do it.
Loved the good old fashioned slug-fest between Shaemus and Barrett on the mat edge at the end of the 20-man rumble.

I would've liked if these 2 were feuding over the title & not just a regular feud.  These 2 have different styles & that's what interest me the most. Plus Christian can make the feud interesting by being the talk of everything. Sheamus on the mic not so much.
Trags for HOF'er !
