Griezmann's celebration is worse than Lingard and Pogba put together!

Also outside of that mistake yesterday, Lloris would start in goal ahead of Lama/Barthez too.

Pogba over Petit or Karembeu, Griezmann over Djorkaeff for me.

Griezmann has to be the cringiest footballer going though, worse than Lingard.

Whilst I picked France pre tournament to win it, only Mbappe for Guivarch would get in the starting line up of the France 1998 winners, which is the best winners for me in my lifetime.

Skybet doubled Mbappe to 4/1 to score anytime. Had a tenner on that for most of the game looked like it was never going to happen.

First team since Brazil in 1970 (we did in 1966) to score four in the final and based on world rankings they had the toughest tournament of the four teams that made the semi finals.

We have to optimistic going into the Euros as the home nation now, especially as this England side will have a World Cup campaign behind them plus two more years experience and maturity. Despite the disappointing result against Croatia every England fan should be proud, we overachieved and put in our best World Cup showing in nearly three decades.

I didn’t watch yesterday’s game as I feel the third place play off is a kick in the nuts, both teams are already out and nobody cares who finishes third, it’s a cheap way to get a medal and many players themselves admit they are tired and would rather just go home being remembered as semi-finalists not the team that came third or fourth.

Don’t know if I’ll bother watching the final today either as my interest has now gone but the smart money has to be on France who have been the best team in the tournament.

Yes we lost in the semis but no one expected us to get there anyway. We had the youngest squad and the most unproven manager and yet we put the world on notice d finished in the top 4.

The future is bright.

Southgate you're the one...

Have to agree with that. Southgate has brought a nation back together. I just hope this achievement will see a fresh influx of young English players getting a chance in the top leagues. It doesn't have to be in the Premiership, go to Spain, Italy, France, Germany..learn different things and impress, it'll be for the good of the game.

England have to be contenders for Euro 2020 now. A few tweaks to the squad and they're good to go for an all out challenge on that if Southgate is kept in charge.

Plus who would have thought that it would be Gareth Southgate to bring a nation together like this? Cookie Coleman did it for Wales in 2016, so it's now to see if Scotland can join in next haha.

Called France pre tournament on page 3 of this thread and I hope they tear Croatia a new arsehole.

Annoying that a team of 30+ year olds playing their third consecutive two hour match had more energy than our much younger lads, including a bone idle, God awful Rashford who was a sub at that.

Blown our best chance in decades because in two and four years time the other countries I doubt will be so shit still.

Gone for both world cup semis to have 2 plus goals, 3 plus corners a side and a booking per team at 7/2 with Paddy Power.

Gone for similar with Sky Bet at 14/1 where instead of 2 plus goals it's BTTS.

Corners usually put me off but apaprently the last three world cups, the semi final matches between them have produced over 20 corners.
