Was Bruno Sammartino ever a heel?

Bayley has never been a heel.

Granted I'm unfamiliar with Sting in TNA, that joker gimmick of his might have been heel, but other than that I don't think he's ever been a heel.

John Cena was a heel during his thuganomics phase.

The Ultimate Warrior was never a heel.

RVD I believe has never been a heel either, but I could be wrong there.

Another guy I'm not very well versed on is Dusty Rhodes, but aside from his stint in the nWo, which IMO shouldn't even count since he wasn't wrestling, I don't know that he's ever been anything but a babyface.

Was Sting and Ultimate Warrior heels during their Blade Runner tag team days ? Bruno may never have been . I thought about Dusty’s NWO stint being heel , no he wasn’t wrestling but that when I say around NWO time the whole heel v babyface got jacked up. lol. Bayley , no never been but her career is just starting. I forgot about Cena and his Thug days , he’s been face so long . Very good. List will be very short. Magnum TA comes to mind with only being a babyface.

I don't know if I'd even count that CWA run as the Blade Runners. No idea if they were heels then or not, but I'd bet even Bayley, RVD, Magnum TA and everyone else would have played a heel at some point if you count their development phase in their career.

Most people forget that even Hulk Hogan had been a heel prior to his run in WCW, back when he was in the WWF before moving to the AWA. People back then (when he turned Hollywood) were saying it was the first time he'd ever been heel when he joined the nWo, but that wasn't true, it had just been a crazy long time since he'd been a heel but he used to have Classy Freddie Blassie as his manager for a while.

Another few guys that come to mind as always faces are Ricky Steamboat and Rey Mysterio.

Hacksaw had a very short stint here and there.

I went and looked up Ultimate Warrior and he had a stint in WCCW as the Dingo Warrior as a heel.

Sting was a heel in 1999 momentarily in WCW just like Bill Goldberg, neither of whom had ever been a heel. Sting was a heel in 2010 as that joker character, I had to look him up as well.

Aside from that few months in 1999 though Bill Goldberg was never a heel.

Yes , Steamboat and Mysterio are good ones to throw out. Reason I thought of the Blade Runners I think they feuded with Williams and DiBiase and they were around for a few years. Yeah I’m not talking developmental days just pro career. Excellent call with Hogan and Freddie !!! AWA reminds me of Greg Gagne or Vern if they were ever heels ?
