Oh good, looks like Shane McMahon made his WWE return at just the right time.

Well, technically, they're saying that they're "looking for outside investors" but by that, they also mean that Panda Energy doesn't fund them anymore so only their international TV deals are keeping them afloat.

Sounds like a good time for Vince McMahon to add to his video library.

TNA: the rot is set in way too much for them. 2005 they had a chance of carving out their own path and doing well, but they opted to become WWE lite. They are dead due to their own incompetence and arrogance. Well, technically, walking dead. Biggest joke of a promotion of all time: this is Dixie Carter's legacy.

Quote From Jim Ross Website......

The TNA Impact Wrestling fiasco is still in play in Nashville and I for one am certainly pulling for the company to rebound and get back on their feet but under the current incarnation, no matter one's preference, that is going to be extremely challenging.

To think that any leadership group can resurrect the beleaguered brand on POP TV is somewhat far fetched in my opinion.

The company needs one decision maker in charge and not so many cooks in the kitchen and that decision maker has to have infinite, product knowledge or TNA under any name simply will continue to fail and bleed money.

TNA  lost their UK TV clearance while I was in England this past week and from what I'm being told are having a problem attempting to regain a TV home there.

One can easily surmise that when TNA left Spike TV in the States that their fortunes took a drastic turn for the worse. I have no dog in the hunt but for anyone to actually think that POP TV can cure what ails TNA is ridiculous.

We've hundreds of channels over here so if they are struggling for a new TV deal that says a lot about the company.

Things started to look bad when all the big old WWE names started to leave, but reached a new level of bad when company poster boy from day 1 AJ Styles even had enough.

Stateside they need to be on a better network as they only get around 200k watching??? Way down on close to a million in their heyday.

So now the question is what's next? It's good that Dixie is gone from a leadership role, but she is still a minority owner, so is she still a TV Character?

They're talking about not aiming for home runs atm but rather singles and doubles, etc. meaning that they just want to take small steps forward rather than try to instantly compete with WWE, but they also mention that is their ultimate goal much farther down the line.

She's been moved to another role under the Anthem umbrella hasn't she? I'd like to think that means no more Dixie on TV, which would make watching TNA much more bearable.

Well as a minority owner she's in a comparable position in TNA that Shane McMahon is in with the WWE. Shane doesn't have any other position in the WWE except as an on-air talent, except of course that he's the owner's son and is a minority owner. However he does still get a say because of the fact that he's a minority owner.

Quote From Jim Ross Website

Jeff Jarrett to the new ownership group of Impact Wrestling is good news IMO. Jeff has many viable projects at play and he knows that he has my support. The pro wrestling business needs every viable company that it can muster to be successful and provide each other with much needed competition and crucial, talent development. This arrangement could eventually wind up being a part of something even bigger. Stay tuned. It sounds like the new ownership group, Anthem, has made some wise decisions early in their tenure. Jeff was brought back to be a consultant.

Not many decisions Anthem could have made better than bringing back Jeff as soon as they get the company.

I hope Dixie still plays a good enough role in the company because she helped build it.

It looks like old names will be going back there so the money issue doesn't seem as bad as it was.

the problem is the block recording. they did something like 12 episodes at the last set. if that is going to become the norm, it's going to be hard to not just have spoilers come out.

it's good they seem to be going back to monthly PPVs, under the One Night Only banner, but they have to get away from making what, for them, are PPV worthy matches and feuds on free TV.

that there doesn't seem to be any rush to find an alternative to the newly made TNA app for UK fans to watch, that could really hurt them, especially since there is no tour this year, and interest has dwindled over the last few years.

If for nothing else, this sale was good to get Dixie out for PR reasons. Right or wrong, she was the one solitary connection to almost every problem TNA has had since at least 2009. Even if there were ancillary factors involved, she was the only piece of the puzzle that fit between ALL of the other issues. And I think it is significant that TNA has had the most buzz and excitement it has had in years since these rotations of leadership have become public and official.
