I'll admit I am too lazy to see if there is a TNA and Universal Studios thread already in existence so to save me some time, I will just start this thread.

Quote According to Wrestling Observer, TNA is terminating it's lease with Universal Studios at the end of March. This explains why TNA is filming the remaining "One Night Only" specials in March.

I think its safe to say Wrestling Observer actually got one right. As stated in an addition to what WO has to say, TNA are taping the rest of the ppv specials in March as well so this fits with that narrative.

I like this move because its very bold and ballsy. I am glad TNA isnt keeping a contract with universal Studios as a bit of a fallback plan and cructch because that could lead to TNA slacking off a bit.

Now they must make this road taping schedule work because there is no backup plan.

2013 is shaping up to be a year that can make or break TNA and I think its the right time to do so. They outgrew the IZ and there is no turning back from this which is exactly how it should be.

Its a good move - the IZ is pretty much always dead.

Now that its done - if the shows on the road flop - i wonder what the back up plan is

I don't watch TNA all that often, as I do not get the chance to because I don't have a subscription to the cable network station they broadcast iMPACT Wrestling (Fuel TV) in Australia. But, none the less, I am glade this has finally happened and quite frankly it has been along time coming.

According to their website they are scheduled for a LIVE show at Chicago's Sears Centre on March 14th, so I don't how long their going to be in England for then and what their plans are after they get back....

The last UK show airs on 2/21/13 and then TNA returns to the Impact Zone for two live episodes on 2/21 and 3/7 before Lockdown and then Impact takes their show on the road beginning the Thursday after Lockdown.

Cheers Willy, I'm interested to see how they do. My best guess is that they'll stick to arena's that only hold a few thousand people. I really hope they don't have to cut out half of the building though like they've done in the past because they didn't get the crowd.

meh.

WO gets one right, by realising that, if TNA are going on the road, they won't be paying the rent on the soundstage at Universal. well done Meltzer for pulling his head out of his arse so the fresh air allows him to use logic.

Universal have said they will leave a window open for TNA in the future, so, yeah.

TNA made a video saying good bye to the cast member zone.

It was a nice thing of TNA to put together but at almost 6 minutes long, this will sadly never make on TV.

Time to hit the road and never look back.

it probably will over here, you'd be surprised how much time needs to be filled when they take out as much "live" references as they can without it interupting a match.
