Try to stay positive Rico. It's not easy. But it really does helps to put out that positive vibe.

You've totally been through the mill with all this. We are all hoping for the best outcome for you and your family, so try to stay as strong as possible, I know it's easier said than done though.

Well I am back home until Tuesday evening with the kids. Tuesday is my son's birthday so we'll have a small party for him then I'll drop them all off at my parents house and drive back to stanford (these 3.5 hour trips are getting old) so I can be with my wife before she's put under in prep for her surgery.

With any luck Stanford will live up to it's reputation and after Wednesday it'll all be about putting this shit behind us. We need to go on some kind of cruise or something.

Well the time has come. It is currently 5:50am, pre-op is at 6, and surgery will go from 7:30 to 7:30.

Good luck Rico. Hope it all goes well.

We all moan from time to time about someone we care for, but if they weren't around we'd miss them.

Remember to make abit of time for yourself even if it's just popping out for an hour for some food.

I am getting completely fed up with everything. They wheeled her down for pre-op, so we got past that point today, but aapparently she developed a fever last night and her INR levels weren't low enough, and now as a result they canceled surgery for the third time. Every time it is a matter of the team not being prepared for what they're getting into because her situation has advanced a little more than they anticipated.

We had family fly down from Washington State just to see her before she went under and people driving from all over the state my kids are out of school... so damned frustrated at this point.

Now they are talking about doing some inpatient chemo of the really strong stuff. This is the stuff that will definitely make her hair fall out and make her vomit, and apparently it has some other bad side effects that require her being under constant care. Looks like we are on schedule for her having surgery around Christmas.

As if the earlier chemo did anything, meanwhile the tumor just keeps growing and getting that much hardee to operate on, and she ends up in just that much more pain. Seriously, I am going t8 break something if they pull this again. I mean I get putting it off a day until her fever goes down, but they've had overma week to get her blood thickened up to the proper levels.
