The good news though is that after going over her latest CT scans her oncological surgeon, and her oncologist say she is officially cancer free.

My wife says when she gets so that she can walk unassisted again, she is taking us on two trips, one to Disneyland with the kids, and on a cruise to Hawaii for her and I alone.

That light at the end of the tunnel got a whole damned lot brighter. She needs her bedsore on her tailbone to heal still, because that thing was one hellacious mother, and she needs to continue her physical therapy so she can build her strength up, her occupational therapy so she can regain full use of her left side, but she is definitely better now than she was before that last seizure that put her in the hospital for a few weeks.

Maybe just another month or two and things will really return to normal and she can go back to hating my guts again.

Great news dude! Hopefully this is the break through you've been waiting for and you can put this nightmarish experience behind you!

Hell yeah! That´s what I´m talking about! Great News, Rico, well deserved. I mean, who wouldn´t want his wife to start hating his guts again! WOOO! XD

in all seriousness, glad to hear things are looking up again, Rico. Still, continuing forward, all the best to you and your family.

OK, well, hopefully one last update to this thread before it's done for good.

My wife was finally discharged from the nursing facility this past Thursday. She is much stronger now than she has been basically all year. She still uses the walker to get around, but she is otherwise taking care of herself. She still has a little healing to do for her bedsore, and she STILL needs to get that damned feeding tube removed, however the bedsore is supposedly just about healed and should only take another month or two before it's completely healed, and she is scheduled to have her tube removed this coming Friday.

Barring any dumbass accidents or ridiculous setbacks, it should be nothing more than a matter of getting her strength back before she can return to normal.

~~~~~~~~~
I was just reading through this thread a little bit, and I also wanted to add a word of thanks to all of you for your words of encouragement and support over the last (almost) year of dealing with this crap here.
It really has meant a lot to me, and I wish there was more I could say and/or do than just say thanks.
Hey Rico. Glad to hear this shit is almost over for your family. If we ever meet I'll be sure to buy you a beer. You have had some hefty shit thrown your way and I'm delighted that it has a happy ending in sight.
Well guess who is back in the hospital with agonizing stomach pains? This better be something like a kidney stone, because I am gonna be pissed if we are starting over at square one again.
