Well I will be a lot less active (I think) for the next week. Today I have to take my kids to my parents where they will stay for a week, then head out to Stanford to 'meet the anesthesiologist' so my wife can get prepped for surgery tommorow. It is going to be pretty extensive and risky surgery, they will be doing a hysterectomy, an ovarectomy, perhaps removes her lymphnodes, and a lot of her impacted vena cava, then graft in new blood vessels to replace the vena cava, all while trying to manage her blood clotting issues she also has.

Tbh, I am more than a little freaked out about it. If everything goes well, I will likely be bored and spending time trying to pre-occupy myself with wrestling talk like I have been since the beggining. If not... ???

Hopefully I will be bored and hanging out here annoying Della and Willy with my ass backwards views on wrestling.

You will end up missing Della LOL On a serious note I hope it all goes well for you. That's a lot of work and you have one brave wife pal. While she's going through the surgery i'm sure people won't forget you need support too. As the adult man of the house you will be expected to put on a brave face through it all to support others. But that's easier said than done. I'm sure you will be a tower of strength for her. No shame in sheding a few tears either if you need to.

All the best

Fingers crossed for all this Rico, hopefully this will be the end of the stress other than the recovery of course. It sounds like it's going to be a long job so you'll need to be doing something to keep you sane or you'll just explode whilst waiting.

My wife has to have an operation in about 6 months too as she has something called a cholesteatoma, and we're telling the specialist tomorrow she'll have the operation as the long term risks are too big to not have the operation. Pesky health things huh?

Long day... we are staying the night at my brother's house, then headed back in the morning. Her surgery is at noon, but we gotta get there two hours early, and we're gonna have to deal with some horrendous Bay Area rush hour traffic so it will be an early morning for us.

Signing all these release forms saying we can't sue them if she dies, and having to sign other forms saying I have the final say on what to do with her if she is in a coma and won't wake up, and being told that they can put us in touch with an attorney to help us with a will if we want to make one is all very sobering.

I am glad I am at my brother's place because he is very upbeat and funny and it's good to keep be around people like that at times like this.

Not really looking forward to tomorrow, but at the same time I can't wait until she is out of surgery.
