I gotta say this looks like it might be able to fill the void left by Game of Thrones. I love the games. The games themselves play out like Game of Thrones meets Skyrim, so if they keep that same kind of storytelling then it's very possible this stands up quite nicely when compared to Game of Thrones.

The Eastern European mythology turned dark and twisted is a cool take for coming up with a plethora of storylines.

Then you add in the storyarch that covers Princess Cirilla

as a young girl, watching her grow up under the tutelage of Geralt of Rivia and Yennifer of Vengeburg and ultimately becoming the new Witcher to succeed Geralt could be an awesome ride.

Plus you've got other great characters like Geralt's Witcher family of Eskel, Lambert, and Vesemir, and the love triangle between

Geralt, Yennifer, & Triss Merigold
, and of course there's Geralt's sidekicks of Dandelion and Zoltan Chivay.

Put it all together and you've got a ton of great content that doesn't necessarily need to be put together chronologically in the same way the games did, because they in turn didn't stick to the chronology of the books.

The neat thing about this though is that a lot of the stories are stand-alone tales just about Geralt that could be covered in a one hour episode or two, such as the one where

Geralt met the genie, and when asked 'what do you wish?" Geralt told the thing to go fuck itself, and the genie was bound to take the command literally, and when it returned it was raging and ready to kill Geralt.
