Goldberg was gassed before he came to the ring but there were 2 occasions where they ended up dropping each other on their heads.

100 degree heat and 2 old men past their best does not spell success

I'm not surprised this has been branded the worst WWE match of all time by thousands of fans online

Well those fans are idiots. The match up until the botched finishing sequence was absolutely fine, obviously it wasn't the match it could have been 15-20 years ago but for two guys in their fifties who haven't wrestled even close to full-time in a decade or more I thought it was a solid effort that I enjoyed and the match was laid out well to cover for the limitations of the two men and to emphasise the stuff they can still do effectively, at least they tried to lay out a competitive match of some length and not a typically short Goldberg match which I did worry was how it would be booked.

Goldberg would regularly get gassed quickly during his previous run when he had his programme with Brock, hence why they kept his matches so short. But this match here was an unfortunate incident where Goldberg knocked himself silly and was obviously concussed. There is now a video online where you can see Goldberg collapse at ringside while The Undertaker celebrates his victory in the ring, the guy was hurt.

Both guys must be disappointed as the ending of the match did look horrible. Would be a shame if this is the last time we see Goldberg in a wrestling ring as I wouldn't want this to be the final memory of his in ring career. Perhaps WWE can book a rematch down the line which doesn't take place in 100 degree heat.

Looks as though Matt Riddle wasnt a fan either - hes said something about Goldberg being one of the worst in ring workers hes ever seen.

Many other former WWE superstars have refused to comment - that alone tells you how bad it is

I completely agree. The match was fine, much better IMO than Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar at WM30, and then Goldberg got the same kind of injury Undertaker got in that match and from then on the match was about the same quality. It sucks but that's life. You can't very well compete at the level you want when you're concussed like that.

It does suck because from what I could tell the match finish was set to be Goldberg kicks out of a tombstone, then hits a jackhammer which The Undertaker kicks out of, Goldberg then goes for a tombstone which Taker reverses in to a second tombstone of his own for the three count, that would have been a good finishing sequence to a very solid outing from two legends, it would have been a match that would have left a lasting impression for the right reasons.
