What is the big deal with his hair? Does The Undertaker really need long flowing locks to pull off the character? I personally quite liked his shaved/mohawk style he had last year, makes him look more demon-like.

The long hair is gone for good, apparently he tried to grow it out but it took way longer than before, he wanted to keep it short as well as he was finding it too much of a chore to maintain when it was long, not really surprising as he's pushing fifty years old.

I also don't see the American Bad-Ass character returning, that was done to adapt the gimmick to the Attitude Era and maybe freshen up a character that had been the same for a decade. But the deadman version has always been the more popular incarnation of The Undertaker and I think it will now stay that way until he retires.

it's completely understandable, same as Kevin Nash saying that a return to the Diesel gimmick would be a pain in the ass due to the black dye for his hair and beard. people now know he's Kevin Nash, so why not just be Kevin Nash?

the only thing i can say about the shaved head is that it makes him look his age, but ffs, that was going to happen anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Exactly what should have happened last year. Anyway, the Deadman gimmick with no hair just ISN'T working. BRING BACK THE BADASS gimmick for god sake

I was talking with my mate in passing about Paul Bearer dying, and he mentioned WWE should use a hologram of him for Taker's entrance at Mania like the Tupac one at Coachella.

Don't know if it's feasible or not, but as far as Mania entrances go, it'd be something special.

I think that would be pretty cool to see and that actually sounds like something he would do to pay tribute to someone.

Doubtful.  The company that brought you holographic 2Pac is bankrupt.  Don't see WWE spending big bucks for a company to produce a holographic image for a one-time event or any other time.

there's more than one company. think it was cNBC or CNN that used a hologram of one of their team during the election night coverage...

would say it was Fox, but think they're saving that until the machines rise up and they can use it as a sign of servitude.

Quote The Undertaker was said to be doing fine after WrestleMania 29, considering his physical condition. Despite the tease with The Shield on RAW, word is that he isn’t expected to wrestle anytime soon.

Source: PWInsider

If he's not going to wrestle again soon why have him around taking up promo/segment time that's not building to anything?

I call PWI bullshit anyway because it's been advertised that he will team with Kane/Bryan to face Shield in London in a few weeks, although it might be a dark match.

To keep him on screen without wrestling and to give the rub to other people same time, why not give him a modern day Ministry calling up some NXT people for it like Conor O Brian and Paige?

Yeah, Taker has been advertised for a couple of SmackDown appearances. And they might be dark main events. Although I think the 6-man route is the best way to use Taker to limit his action and best protect him. I also think this 6-man combo should meet at Extreme Rules with the TTC on the line (but that might be pushing it.)

Don't try to tell me that all 3 guys in the Shield aren't stoked about getting a chance to possibly take a Tombstone from Taker. (Seth Rollins is the lightest and most likely to take the bump.) It would have to be like those pair of shows in South Africa where Bret Hart tagged with Hart Dynasty, all the heels wanted to be the guy Bret locked the Sharpshooter on. They all viewed it as a sign of respect to a guy they watched as a kid.

I don't expect Taker will ever return to being a guy that appears every week in the ring. I also think that he is the one that really decides when he's going to work and who with. He's got to be thinking about hanging up the boots sooner than later. But I think he's got just enough in the tank for a few more PPV appearances. And hopefully another match (or 2) with Punk.

I still think that something should happen between Taker and Punk at Payback. It just sounds too perfect. A show called Payback and it's in Chicago. Punk gets the tainted victory over Taker, allowing Taker to disappear while having a storyline reason to return. Thus setting up a third & deciding match in their feud.

But that might be too much wishful thinking.
