So with the TNT debut of AEW not too fr away, as with their events and PPV's they have created a "The Road To..." series on Youtube.

Whilst i appreciate there is a thread somewhere with the general chat about their weekly show, this thread can be used to host the videos and have some discussion about what people want to see, what they are looking forward to, what they would change etc

Ill try and get the videos on here as soon as they are available on the tube

Below is the first episode

Whilst this has started to build a couple of matches, it was nice to see highlights from All Out and i ahve to say the production of the AEW videos are getting better and better.

One thing im really interested in is to see how they deliver the vignette style promos on the TV show and also what they do with wrestlers entrance music / titantrons.

Guevara v Cody and The Elite v Y2J +2 look like they could be both absolute classics and you have to have high expectations for the debut show.

Episode 2:

This episode was great for letting us know some of the background to Sammy Guevara.

The Shiavone interview with Cody was great on how he copes with the pressure of being one of the main men looking after a company thats about to debut on TNT and how he will deal with the demands of being an EVP and a wrestler.

I like how they referenced the card subject to change which takes away that feeling that we all know whats going to happen because of future matches being in place which is just another reason to tune in.

Episode 3:

Decent promo from Riho - this is the perfect way to present a Japanese wrestler

MJF just being MJF

Tag team bracket announced which makes for interesting reading

I will tune in for the first episode of AEW Dynamite but this company still has much work to do to convince me to become anything more than a extremely casual viewer of their product.

Their roster has a few standout talents but still lacks a lot of depth and the mid-card seems to be made up of a lot of low card indie nobodies. Having wrestlers like the Librarians and Sonny Kiss isn't going to do AEW any favours.

The women's division is awful, this is something they really need to build from the ground up and they need to recruit some decent female talents quickly. Until they are able to do this they would be smart to keep the ladies a very low key part of the product.

Kenny Omega is also proving to be more and more of a dick recently and the Young Bucks aren't much better. Suggesting the NXT roster wouldn't be good enough to be in AEW dark matches is just a dumb thing to say when a large percentage of the AEW roster wouldn't even make it through a NXT tryout. I'm sure Cody would kill to have most of the NXT roster available to him.

The womens division in AEW is really really good, id put it on par with WWE - your trouble is that you havent heard of half of them so by default assume that they are not as good as WWE just because you are not familiar with them.

He may have come across as a dick, but Omega had a point with what he said/meant. He is far better in the ring than anyone currently in NXT, with Gargano being the ONLY exception, and its nowhere near to being close. Youve got guys like Cole and Dream who are huge characters but in terms of wrestling ability - Omega is miles ahead of everyone of them.

He didnt need to come out and say it though

AEW currently don't have enough women under contract to fill out a Battle Royal, from what I understand the Japanese ladies they've been using they don't have signed to permanent deals, of the few they actually have signed from the little I've seen so far only maybe 2 or 3 can really go in the ring, how can that compare to the female talent WWE have both on the main roster and in NXT??
You are right in saying I'm not familiar with most of the Women AEW have on the roster which doesn't help as I didn't really become fully emotionally invested in Women's wrestling until Ronda Rousey joined WWE, but from the little I've seen so far the Women's division in AEW cannot hold a candle to WWE.

Also as far as Kenny Omega goes I've not seen any of his Japan or Indie work, all I've seen of him so far is his AEW stuff and yes the guy is a amazing talent but is he miles better than Adam Cole, Matt Riddle, Keith Lee, Tomasso Ciampa, Velveteen Dream, Roderick Strong and others in NXT - I would have to say no, also while Omega is great in the ring personality wise he comes across as a obnoxious dick and I think he would benefit from working as a heel rather than a babyface, he should be AEW's version of Shawn Michaels as in someone who you love to hate but you have to admire his talent in the ring.

Episode 4

This is a great episode for showing another side to the young bucks.

This did a great job of building up the hype for the TV debut

The addition of PAC v Page is awesome
