Quote From Jim Ross Website

Big fan of Dawson and Wilder aka Revival and am happy to see them on RAW. Two, good pros who have more than earned this opportunity on the flagship broadcast.

I hope his faith pays off for them, because as someone who doesn't really watch NXT weekly, I don't know what reason i've got to care about them.

James Cornette loves them as an old school type team. Taz dislikes them because they copy old teams and don't have their own identity. I do like differing opinions like that.

They will have to work hard to not be the next Vaudevillians/Ascension etc called up.

No they won't. In one match they generate more interest with their superior tactics than any team the wwe has seen in a good 20 years. These guys are masterful in-ring storytellers. Literally the only knock you can give them as a critique is that they're small. They have psychology down so well, every other heel in the company could learn from them. They will never be boring unless they perform in front of a bunch of brainless idiots who don't actually watch wrestling but just come for the experience and promos.

But it's about the full package. Lots of good wrestlers aren't over because they can't talk and plenty of average wrestlers get over because they have personality. It's the way of the business.

Can't fault how they have been booked so far, looking very strong going over the main team of the whole E tag team division for a number of years.

I suspect next they will run through maybe Slater/Rhino now they are on Raw.

First of all it's great to see them back on Raw. There is a pecking order regarding the tag titles just now, but with about 3-4 months to go till Mania, there is plenty of time for them to gain momentum and take it to the next level for a classic with whoever the champs are at the time.

Quote As seen on the December 18th edition of WWE Monday Night RAW, The Revival made their return and defeated Rhyno and Heath Slater. Following that, they appeared on WWE Main Event and defeated Apollo Crews and Titus O’Neil. With that being said, the two were nowhere to be found on this week’s WWE RAW broadcast.

According to a report from Cageside Seats, WWE currently has no storyline plans for the team.

Don't know why management aren't using them better, when their tag team division is poor.

As soon as they were both fit to return, I expected the team Jim Cornette calls the best in the world to be pushed heavily from the start.

At this point they will be lucky if one of them gets a Rumble match spot.

They would be better served on Smackdown where there is a thriving tag-division. Maybe in the next roster shuffle send them to the blue brand and move New Day back to Raw now their programme with the Usos has run its course?

The Revival are a talented team but I do wonder if they will struggle on the main roster like so many NXT standouts.

I sincerely hope they don't fall into that category. I feel that the majority of the NXT callups this year, sorry last year now (lol), have been cursed. Samoa Joe has done well. It's still early days for Asuka, and the NXT members of Absolution and Riott Squad. But Naka (bad booking), Bobby Roode (nothing much to give him), Tye Dillinger (nothing to give him), and Revival (injury) have all had a bad year since they came up to be honest.

Bizarrely, Elias is one of the few who is doing well for himself lol. Sometimes it just goes to show that if you spend too long in NXT, it might not work out for you, whereas if you come up early, it could be a blessing.

Can't think of any other call ups off the top of my head?

I don't see much point moving them to Smackdown because that just results in a dead tag scene on one show and a great one on the other. I'd expect The Usos and possibly Breezango to move over after mania anyway so the Raw tag scene should liven up plenty. The Revival vs either of those teams will be quite the sight.

I just think they’re a better fit for Smackdown. I would move New Day, Breezango and the Bludgeon Brothers to Raw, switch the Revival to Smackdown and also give them Sanity and the Authors of Pain.

Quote The Revival vs. Enhancement talent: The jobbers in this match don't get any names in the opening moments. Wilder beats on one of the jobbers in the opening moments, then tags in Dawson for a double team suplex. Dawson cheap shots the other jobber off the apron, then Wilder tags in and they hit the Shatter Machine on the jobber in the ring for the three count.

Winners: The Revival

- The Revival does an interview in the ring after the match. Dawson says they just put on a clinic in tag team wrestling, which is something that's been missing for a long time. He says too many tag teams are going backstage to play video games or check instagram, but all The Revival is worried about is punishing their opponents and winning matches. When asked what legends they're looking forward to meeting at the RAW 25th anniversary next week. Wilder says they aren't fans of beer baths or crotch chops, because they made a mockery of this business. They say they aren't sports entertainers, they're pro wrestlers, and they aren't a creation of the WWE board room. Dawson says "they" will not change who they are, and this is their universe now. The fans boo as Dawson says they're going to set the tone for RAW for the next 25 years.

Awesome promo. They now have to lay out a couple of old school guys next week to build on it.

Loved the old school feel of the team and their shoot style promo mentioning guys wanting to play computer games and get Instagram likes and that they are wrestlers not sports entertainers.

Plenty of potential now to build on going forward as anti establishment, but don't know how that character will work as heels.
