my favourite tennis player deserves her own thread. justine has had such a tough life. her mother use to take her to the french open and she would say "mum im going to win it one day". her mother died of cancer when justine was in her early teens, but justine went on to win the french open twice already. shes not some muscle head like alot of the women players. shes built like a woman should be and still kicks ass on court. apparently she is also into doing extreme sports in her spare time. by looking at her you wouldnt think it.

Great performance to win the French Open. She is like the female Nadal when it comes to clay.To go and win the grand slam without dropping a set whole tournment is a great feat which hasn't happened for years. Her backhand is the best in the game. She is such a student of her profession. Be nice to add a Wimbledon to her collection. She is more then capable of winning the event. Although French is the grand slam she prefers to win due to her background.

Fucking excellent that she's finished the year the number one in the world. She's had a blinding year all things considered. She's done less events which after the injuries of last season was sensible. She had to win the end of season championship (which she did). But she wasn't even sure at one point if she was going to be in the event due to a knock she was carrying. She can now enjoy the pre season break and have a good christmas. Then she can start to think about her buildup for the Australian Open in january.

Its a real shame that Justine pulled out of the Australian Open due to personal reasons (rumours have trouble with her husband). Its a blow to the Open as Henin is infact a fan fave over here. There is only one grand slam thats eludes her from joining the Golden Club and thats Wimbledon.

She won the Aussie Open in 2004, the French is 2003, 2005 & 2006 and the US open in 2003. Its a real shame she wont be apart of the Aus Open.

It's very sad news that Justine is having marriage problems. I really hope she can overcome them, because they make a great couple. They have known eachother since there early teens and probably only ever done it with eachother. If childhood sweethearts, that have been married four years and travel everywhere together can not make it last. Then it doesn't give much hope to other people. Sorting out her personal problems is rightfully her main priority. Makes a change to her missing events through injury.

Yeah well I dont know if thats true, but thats what Kim Clijsters has said and she is her best friend, so yeah, its a real shame Henin is going to miss this one out, but she has to deal with her marriage woes and get it all sorted then return ready to kick some ass.

Quote In an interview with an Avenir du Luxembourg, Pierre-Yves' parents said of their son's break-up with Justine Henin-Hardenne: "We don't know what could have happened between the two of them. Pierre-Yves just told us they're both going their own way for now, to think things over." They said they haven't seen their son since October, but that he's informed them he's very unhappy. According to, another paper, Vers l'Avenir, Henin-Hardenne will soon be filing for a divorce."

Seems very sad that they cannot seemingly works thing out, and go and make their marriage work. I really couldn't imagine Justine with someone else after all this time. Her husband as never been a bonie kettle to look at. However beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and she was very happy with him. Odd how his own parents have no idea what the matter is. Surely you would have got in touch with your son in the past four months ? Surely doing so would be even more of a priority if he was going through a divorce ?

Its sad to hear that Henin is going through a divorce, I hope she can get it all sorted sooner than later and return to doing what she does best. Some parents though dont care and who knows, he might not have wanted to be contacted.
