^ I actually agree, JBL played a great heel character and IMO was the top heel on Smackdown while Triple H pretty much ran supreme as the top heel on Raw. JBL's feuds with Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero and John Cena were remarkable, he pretty much went from being a tag team wrestler to a main eventer in quick fashion.

Jim Ross Website: Hey JR, since JBL is a Wall Street wiz, do many wrestlers seek his advice? I know he gets a bad rap online, but I really enjoy his character and his work. Thanks JR.

I would assume that many of them ask John's financial advise from time to time. They would be smart if they did. Not enough wrestlers strive to educate themselves regarding their finances. Some even "forget" that they have to pay income taxes.

* It would be stupid of wrestlers not to ask JBL for business advice when he's so good at what he does.

* I guess some would be too scared to approach him, even though business advice during the credit crunch is a good thing to get.

* I'd imagine going to JBL for financial advice would do his ego some good and make you more popular with him.

All JBL is good for is getting a free tip and solid commentary. Just don't watch his in ring work, or follow his push to the top. It will make ya sick.

From Jim Ross Website.......

Quote JBL was unavailable to attend the 10 year SD show but he's doing great in business and life in general. John is playing golf this weekend at Pebble Beach...not bad for a country boy from West Texas.

* More fool WWE for not asking JBL to attend sooner so that it was possible for him to do so.

* Reading between the lines it looks like he was asked to return but not until too near to the show.

* I wonder if John simply didn't want to do it, as he's a man who could change his schedule if he wanted.

It's always great to hear someone doing well outside of the WWE. During the 10 year SD show I really don't know what it was he could've possibily have done ???

I guess when your retired, I guess Golf is pretty much the only thing to do ... lol ... Lots of people play golf just to show that there having a good life after there careers.

With things going smooth with John he could've changed his schedule, but he doesn't need the money so I really don't see the point of him coming there.

Trags for HOF'er !

I'd like him in either a guest host, GM or manager role, but anything more than that would be too much. The man is one of the top promo guys in the business, but totally sucks at actual wrestling and never deserved his huge push in the first place.

I would love to see JBL as a guest host, but anything else, no thanks... Unless its to replace Teddy Long as Smackdown GM, because lets be honest JBL would be much more entertaining than the old Teddy bear.
