WCW was infamous for giving away their best matches for free. Their PPVs were also notoriously bad. If you want the best matches you gotta watch Nitro.

Hogan vs Piper in late 96 was good, I don't remember the event, but it was a PPV match.

Hogan vs Sting at in early 97... that was Starcade I believe, was on of the best.

Hogan vs Goldberg on Nitro in 98 is one of my all-time favorite matches bar none. That's the one where Goldberg took the title, and Heenan went ape shit about the defeat of Hogan and how Goldberg was still undefeated.

Aside from those matches Hogan didn't really have many good matches in WCW that really stand out to me.

However Hogan COULD wrestle, and he could work. Go watch Hogan in 1993 while he was still WWF champion in Japan against The Great Muta. You'll see shit from the Hulkster you'd never imagine he was capable of that makes you think: "Where the fuck has THIS guy been all these years!? Has he just been trolling the American audience???" There really was rock solid proof that it wasn't that Hogan couldn't chain wrestle, it's just that he never NEEDED to, and was likely instructed not to in the WWF.

As far as MY top 5 Hogan matches of all time, I would go with:

1: Hogan vs Goldberg Nitro 98.
2: Hogan vs Savage WM5
3: Hogan vs Warrior WM6
4: Hogan vs Muta
5: Hogan vs Undertaker with Paul Bearer & Ric Flair Survivor Series 91

In terms of sheer spectacle, Hogan vs Andre WM3 is Hogan's best match and easily the greatest match of all time. However, my favorite Hogan match was his WrestleMania 6 match with the Ultimate Warrior. It was everything it needed to be and more.

Now that we're on the topic of Hogan, the one match other than Taker vs Sting that I can see the networks (Fox and NBC Universal) or the Saudis forcing WWE into doing either at next year's WrestleMania or a future Saudi show is Cena vs Hogan.
